Talkgroups?

I have downloaded your software and made a new TSYS. How do I go about making talkgroups under that TSYS. Also is there a Readme File about how to use this Software?

Thanks Chris

I'm missing the slider bar on the right side of the screen in 1.81. Here is a screenshot with 1.81 on top and 1.80 on the bottom. Anything I'm missing here?
Mike, I'm having the same problem. I've got the DPI set to 120 and am running version 1.81 release 2. Any workarounds short of switching to 96 DPI?

Also, I get the annoying Windows "ding" when selecting any TGRP whether in the Trunking Objects or Scanlist Listing fields. This happened before upgrading to 1.81, too. FYI...running Vista 32. Any clues??

Try version 1.82 Release 1. It should resolve this problem and is available on the web site.

Any time I select a TGRP (highlighted) that are listed in any of the fields like Scanlist Listing, Trunking Objects, Conventional Objects, etc. Not sure if I'm describing it well...

You mean when you click on them to select them? I'm not getting this here.

Does this happen with any other software programs on your computer?

Yes...it happens each time I click on them.

No, it doesn't happen with any other program including Win500 and ARC. It did it when I downloaded the demo version, and with each subsequent upgrade. Not sure what's causing it but I may try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that corrects the problem. I assumed it's a problem with running it in Vista. It's not a major problem, just annoying.

I can imagine it would be annoying. Does anyone else have this happening to them? It's definately not happening here at all.

Once again Mike has gone above & beyond to help out a member here by sending me a configuation to upload to my 106, I changed a few things like colred lcd etc and now it looks good, ready to upload? I have a couple question before uploading it says "all memory current on radio will be lost" does that include the pre-set frequencies and before I upload (I only have 5 different scan lists) do I just check the 5 lists under the general config tab ? and then hit upload to radio?

I answered in the email as well, but when uploading to the scanner using the Upload to radio option, the current active configuration will be overwritten by the configuration being uploaded. It won't have any effect on the information stored in the V-Scanner folders.

Turn on the scan lists you want before uploading them to the scanner. You can also turn those scan lists on and off in the scanner by pressing the number key on the scanner that matches the scan list number. Use the FUNC key and the number key that matches the last digit in the scan list for lists 11 through 20.

Picked up the USB cable today, used mikes software PSRedit500 and am scanning on my pro106 tonight! This software is the only way to go, Im so glad I didn't listen to the Radioshack manager who told me I was better off doing it by hand? With setting the colored LCDs etc No Way... Very easy with one of software choices I found here, I tried a few and liked this one best ( as soon as I stopped being scared of it) I think I was worried I was going to do harm to the radio. Anyway I know I still got a whole lot to learn but think after getting that first transfer in and seeing how fast it works and how good it works I'm on my way.... Thanks to everyone who replied to my MANY questions posted over this last week.

Any way for PSREdit to import more than 1 town at a time from RR when doing conventional import.
Seems the picklist gets down to municipality and you cannot do multiple.

I like PSREdit's ability to immediately edit the alpha tags on import with the county and town information in the right column for reference. Makes it easy. Just takes forever doing it one town at a time, especially for counties like Bergen in NJ where there are 71 towns.

Is there some setting I have to set as far as the amount of time I take setting up a scan list using this software? 3 times now I almost finish after taking maybe 30 minutes setting up seperate scan list numbers. colored lcds etc etc just the way I want it and then "poof"? It just closes on me? I lose everything I just did?? 3 times!...lol....Im about to pull out what hair I have left.... I love the way this software is set up and now I know exactly how to use it but cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening? Anyone? I'm giving up for a while.....Maybe I need a cold beer.....hahaha....Vig

Mike will no doubt address this. But in the mean time, just do frequent saves as you go. This is not a bad idea with any computer data entry/editing software. That way if things go South, you can pick up pretty much where you left off by opening the latest saved file.

Have some more eggnog. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Your 100% right, I actually thought of that before the last run but everything was going so smooth I kept saying to myself "One more town" or "now the state troopers" ...I knew I should have stopped and saved then came back in BUT.... I'm a stubborn person(or so Ive been told)

I don't always follow my own advice either. I've been burned more times that I'll admit on failing to back up my computer!

Select the first city you want, and then the frequencies for that City.

Select the next city you want, and the frequencies for that city. PSREdit will remember the previously selected frequencies from the previous city.

Repeat for each city you want to import.
