From my old log book -- some logs from 1988 and 1989, Houston TX (across Hwy 3 from Ellington AFB). The days before scanners showed the squelch tone or code.

Can someone please break down the low band frequency assignments? Like 33.420-33.980 is fire and 42.00-42.98 is State police etc. It used to be in the back of Police Call. Thanks.

Very nostalgic indeed sir! I have all my old logs dating back to around 1988

80's and early 90's were the golden years of scanning with a good scanner!
Fortunately I had a Realistic Pro-34, an AOR AR-1000, an AR-2500, and also an Alinco DJ-X10 and AR-8200 MKII toward the end of it.
