kkn50, nice catches on the 45.760 [77.0] and 45.9400 [110.9] VDOT (VA DOT, Virginia Department of Transportation) 45/47 MHz system. 45.7600 is VDOT channel 25 and is simplex only. However, 45.9400 [110.9] is an input frequency/tone for VDOT channel 30 (repeater output: 47.3000 MHz, PL 110.9). Did the traffic you heard on 45.760 ID as "KA2696" or other callsigns/unit numbers? KA2696 is the statewide mobiles callsign for the VDOT lowband system and is often heard on 45.760 and the 47 MHz simplex/repeater frequencies.
