All of those licenses were initially granted last year. Bradford, Potter, and Wyoming counties are building a shared system. Won't be on the air until 2021 at the earliest. No indication that it has anything to do with the state's P25 buildout.

This is the only news I have drummed up regarding the project, but it says nothing about new voice radio networks.
PEMA Project Will Link 911s in Wyoming, Bradford, Potter Counties

Potter's radio communications are handled through Tioga County, so I am surprised such a rural county would want to upend things by moving over to 800MHz.

See attached. Note that these PDF's are attached to the most recent FCC applications for these licenses. Always make sure to check the license history, applications, and attachments in ULS...there is often info like this to be found in plain sight. ;)

Guilty as charged. I did not dig on these licenses. I'm still amazed that they would move ahead spending money on building their own infrastructure instead of doing what Warren is doing.

At any rate, I derailed the thread so, I will try to bring it back on track.

Has anyone figured out where the 151.385 control channel that is weakly receivable in the Harrisburg area is coming from?

NAC is 94C.
Site ID is 171 (T0147)

Not Keffers as some suspected. I am thinking SW of Harrisburg. Or, maybe SE, like the Truce site? Although, Truce doesn't make sense since I could not pick it up on the turnpike east of the Harrisburg area.

I was unable to run Unitrunker or Pro96com on it last week...no laptop the day I was out in the Harrisburg area.

FRAN01 (Site 1-049) is SW of Harrisburg and already a 151.385 CC. I would highly doubt that there would be any site between FRAN01 and Harrisburg also running 151.385 CC.

Maybe 1-071 isn't Keffers, but I doubt it's SW of Harrisburg on 151.385.

It must be the Upper Strasburg site that I was copying. Big footprint...I was getting that by the 78/81 split on a VHF magmount.. That has NAC 94C.

So, now, does the Ellendale site show 1-71 on the air, yet? When I grabbed data off it last, the site was still showing as offline with 151.385 to be the CC.

Site 53 : 857.3375

Site 51 Blain / Perry Co lists as a connected neighbor:

1-053 857.3375

Likely DAUP01 Ellendale/Middletown (Dauphin)

WRAD754
854.3375
855.0625
855.4375
856.0125
857.3375

If anyone is within that area, please check for a P25 control channel on 857.3375 and let us know if there is one on that frequency or any of the others listed above. Of course, all relevant additional details that you can get (cc / ac / peers-neighors / etc) would be great.

Tnx

In addition,

Sites 42 (CENT04) and 45 (CLIN41) list site 43 (CENT16 - 155.67 cc) as a connected neighbor. Anyone around Centre Co to verify whether or not CENT16 is online on 155.67 ?

Sites 48 (FULT##) and 49 (FRAN01) list site 50 (FRAN02 - 158.8425 cc) as a failed neighbor. So I'm guessing FRAN02 still is not online at this point.

Sites 42 (CENT04), 45 (CLINT41), 47 (HUNT04) and 51 (PERR01) all list Site 43 (161.8125 cc) as a connected neighbor. I'm wagering a guess that it is MIFF40 in Belleville PA. But somebody would have to confirm that by a site visit after confirming that there is actually RF on 161.8125 broadcasting Site ID 43.

Incidentally, in case anybody wonders - for all of the changes I made to the DB today, it wasn't from my personal monitoring. Another regular contributor went to Blue Knob and scanned the skys. He came up with lots of RTF captures of Pro96Com in action on various control channels. No easy way to just submit that to the DB. So he sent them to me. I went through the data and added/modified were appropriate.

I won't mention the contributors name without his permission (he will confirm if he wishes), but he's a regular participant here and I thank him for making the road trip to get some more confirmations and data.

Wow,
Thanks Mike! & anonymous day tripper.. :)

Is that a typo? should 43 be 44 above?

Doggonit you are right. I got confused. Looking at multiple things.

Site 43 (CENT16) - 155.67 cc - needs confirmed online
- sites 42 / 45 report this as online/connected - but it needs to be RF verified

Site 44 (?MIFF40?) - 161.8125 - needs confirmed online
- sites 42 / 45 / 47 / 51 report this as online/connected - but need verified by RF

Thanks for catching that, Brent.

And -- the guy who grabbed the updates was druhe (Dan).

So I read on the wiki that this is a p25 ph2 system (which I already knew) and that I would need a ph2 scanner ( such as the 996p2 , knew that too) but it also says that that dsdplus ( which I have ) will decode this as well. I have unitrunker setup attm to run on the 700 mhz statewide system using 2 dongles and is working perfectly, however when I change control channels to the Seneca site for this system it sees the channel grants and radio ids etc, but the 2nd dongle never follows to the voice channel and therefore dsdplus won't decode. Am I doing anything wrong or is there a different way to set it up so that dsdplus will decode the audio?

So far almost all tg in use are fully encrypted. Some tg while testing were in the clear. But do not expect any FEMA or PSP tg's to be in the clear.

Obtaining information for existing sites

For those of you who monitor this system and have the capability to monitor the control channel of one or more sites, we need the following:

Obtain site NAC for all sites. Please don't confuse this with the system ID. We need specific site NACs.

Site 1-001 WARR17 Garland

Confirm whether this is online as a standalone site or if it is offline. (would have to check all freqs). If it doesn't appear to be online anymore, please let us know. May have been combined into Warren Co Simulcast

Site 1-002 WARR34 Warren / Kinzua Dam

Confirm whether this is online as a standalone site or if it is offline. (would have to check all freqs). If it doesn't appear to be online anymore, please let us know. May have been combined into Warren Co Simulcast

Site 1-037 INDI01 Clymer

Obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-040 SOME06 Meyersdale

Obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-043 CENT16 Bellefonte

Obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-044 ?MIFF40? Belleville

Confirm 161.8125 CC is online. Sites 42, 45, 47 and 51 show this is an online connected neighbor. Location of MIFF40-Belleville is just a guess at this point

Obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-046 SNYD02 Shade Mtn / Beavertown / Richfield

Obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-048 FULT01 (Wells Tannery) or FULT40 (Tuscarora Mtn)

Determine which site this really is -- FULT01 or FULT40. Both sites are licensed with same frequencies.

Site 1-050 FRAN02 South Mountain

Watch for it to come online - CC would be 158.8425 or 159.09 or 159.1875

If online, obtain primary/alt cc and obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-052 DAUP73 Harrisburg 800 mhz

Obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-053 DAUP01 Ellendale 800 Mhz

CC would be 857.3375 or 854.3375, 855.0625, 855.4375, 856.0125

Confirm online, obtain primary/alt cc and obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-058 YORK16 Andersontown

Watch for it to come online - CC would be 155.445 or 156.1125 or 155.55

If online, obtain primary/alt cc and obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-060 Warren Co Simulcast

Obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

Site 1-071 ?SCHU03? Keffers

Site 1-071 is online. Some are unsure if it is Keffers. It'll have a CC of 151.385 or 151.445 and would be indicating itself as site 1-071. (important because there are other active sites using 151.385 as well).

Confirm location

Obtain peer list (neighbors) including Site IDs and freqs

------

Of course, if you happen to be monitoring any site's control channel with Unitrunker / Pro96Com / DSDPlus and the peers (neighbor list changes), we are always interested in those updates.

Thanks
