Weird, I get no signs of a signal on 460.075, but get CC and all other locals.
What's your location (or area)? I picked it up from Easley at full strength several days ago. Picking it up this evening from western Greenville County as well.

Ok may be trees. I switched to my GMRS 5/8 ground plane antenna and am getting it fine. I am in deep woods and hills in northern Pickens county, so may have to ditch the discone and stick with the larsen 5/8 vertical for my location.

Thank you, it is a base antenna with a ground plane, seems to be working well now. 30 Feet up and the antenna it's self is about 5 foot with ground radials. Tuned for GMRS, but is working great.

Add 461.100 under LCN 489 and 463.325 under LCN 667 and you should pick up even more.

This is a screenshot of a Pickens news article showing their new radios. The display reads “Fire Tac 4” which has not been identified or if it has, has been submitted incorrectly. Just making it aware that these exist and they probably have several fire tacs which have yet to be found. 7A2BCE9D-3C3F-438B-B787-D0D2A5859FBE.png

Is Pickens PD dispatch still analog? Or have they gone to fleet talk. I update the sentinel database it still says they’re analog at 460.4500 however I haven’t been able to pick them up at all.

11713 shows me in DSD as Pickens county statewide roam, and is clear, 11704 shows as TAC and 11714 shows this:
2024/06/12 22:12:19 Freq=460.025000 RAN=4 Enc Group call; TG=11714 [[Pickens Co SD] Sheriff Dispatch] RID=21503 [SO Massingill] Ch=577 Alg=Sc KeyID=50 4s
2024/06/12 22:12:20 Freq=462.200000 RAN=4 Enc Group call; TG=11714 [[Pickens Co SD] Sheriff Dispatch] RID=21503 [SO Massingill] Alg=Sc KeyID=50
2024/06/12 22:12:23 Freq=462.200000 RAN=4 Enc Group call; TG=11714 [[Pickens Co SD] Sheriff Dispatch] RID=21503 [SO Massingill] Alg=Sc KeyID=50

Searay, what are you using to pick up Pickens county from York county. Inquiring minds need to know? It'a a new system so the tags may be wrong. But DSD+Fl is showing the above. Being a named officer you could be right. Will have to let the dust settle and see the final product. When I first tuned in, I heard a deputy call at least 20 time to dispatch and the never heard him. Lots and lots of radio checks earlier, like they might have been having comms problems.

DSD gets alias names and channel numbers over the air. Talkgroup names are not transmitted over the air, only the talkgroup ID. Talkgroup names are added manually in a talkgroup text file so they populate the gui while monitoring the system.

Some of the groups in the database were incorrect and corrections have been submitted. Did you use the database in for for your DSD? If so, that would explain the errors you are seeing. Updates to the database will make the data accurate.

Traffic you hear on 11713 should sound like dispatch traffic, is that correct?

I went off my notes for the last two weeks of listening figured out a few and they seemed correct, but was missing alot. I did download the DB tonight since it was just updated, so yes it might be on my end. Still interested how you can log Pickens though.

I am getting console 1 and deputies names on that TG, but have not heard a dispatch yet, but remember this is Pickens, a little slow, but as typing yes, just heard a dispatch, so you are correct.

TG11704 needs corrected also, it reads as Pickens county PD police TAC, Municipal. Something is wrong there. I think it needs to read city instead of county.
