Test driving the app now, loving it so far. Couple of suggestions for (a) future release(s): Would it be possible to import channel descriptions for known encrypted talkgroups? It's nice to be able to see clear talkgroups come up in active & recent calls but would like that ability for encrypted talkgroups as well, being a system sleuth it'd make it easier for me to know what's been RRDB ID'ed and what hasn't been. Also how about a setting to get recent calls not to clear until I tell them to or until I switch systems? They clear if I lose pick up on a control channel. Lastly can the dwell delay while searching for control channels be customized? I can see this being an issue particularly on systems where every frequency can be potentially utilized as a CC and it having to take several minutes to cycle through and find the active CC. Or better yet a setting where it remembers the last active control channel and if no signal is present then it moves on and cycles through the rest. Replay & record would be nice too particularly on road trips when I'm driving and want to review transmissions later. Sorry if I'm asking for a lot, I know the app is new and is amazing so far to be able to track systems with just my phone and a pocket size SDR. Keep up the good work!

Also Capacity Plus systems don't appear to scan? I've added a few but when I go to play them, it goes right to "scanner stopped" though I can see the talkgroups listed in the "scan grid"

Update: I had to use the web programmer to add the control channels

Is there no analog capability? I've tuned to my local NOAA weather station as well as a conventional analog channel in close proximity to me, it won't open squelch for either.

Guess not. I need to read better :ROFLMAO:

Couple other observations:
Some channels take longer to cycle through than others when trying to acquire the control channel. Assuming because it's detecting voice traffic? At times I've had to back out and re-select the system for it to finally detect the control channel. I've got a county I monitor where the active CC is 8 of 8, took about 5-6 minutes to cycle through to get to it. Also gain and PPM settings I set don't stick. As soon as I back out of that menu and return they switch back to their defaults of Gain 48 & PPM 0 (running a Nooelec v5 btw). Assuming BER:% is the error rate & the lower the number the better? Looking forward to see this app evolve

Now it stopped working altogether. Phone's been powercycled & other apps (SDRAngel & the like) still work. Not seeing anything USB related in app permissions...

I plugged and unplugged the dongle a few times and the prompt finally came up to always open Pocket25. Think I'm good to go from here...

Also gain and PPM settings I set don't stick. As soon as I back out of that menu and return they switch back to their defaults of Gain 48 & PPM 0 (running a Nooelec v5 btw).
Guess I mustn't have tapped the save icon the first few times. Duh!

Hadn't been on Pocket25 in a while, been so busy. Clicked on it today and got a message from Play Store that I was a Beta tester but needed to download and install it from Google Play Store. Was great to see it recognized by Google and it is now installed properly.

I downloaded the app from Google play store, installed on phone, imported system from RR and started the program but the display shows "Scanner stopped" and in upper right corner is an oval that shows "OFF". I went into settings, system, select main system, chose "North simulcast", then 'Starting scan...North simulcast" but nothing happens. Back to screen showing "scanner Stopped". ??

Here are 2 screen shots of what I see in the log. I am using a silver RTL-SDR dongle connected with OTG cable and a dedicated 800mhz rubber duck. I also hooked up to outside antenna. I was able to pick the system from RR and pick which zone and it seems to be searching and not hearing. Not sure if I am missing a step or something else. BER is HIGH like 21.4%

This would be great on a chromebook. The app works on chrome but it will not save any systems. errors

I am still trying to figure out why I don't get audio, with exception of some blips of noise. The attached pic shows the program in an endless search loop occasionally stopping on a talk group. Everything set up with new OTG cable, rtl-sdr dongle and an 800 mhz antenna. Phone recognizes the dongle as soon as I plug it in. Then I pick the system/site and it searches.....eventually it shows "locked" in the upper right corner. Every now and then it will stop on a talk group and I might get a tiny bit of intelligible voice. I tried using 3 different antennas, a dedicated 800mhz rubber duck, a telescoping whip and my outdoor 800 mhz yagi. Is there a way to maybe increase the gain? I am using this next to window on 2nd floor of house. I am about 8 miles south of the P25 phase 1 system. I thought maybe reception might be bad cause I am in the house, but external antenna didnt do much better than rubber duck. Maybe I can take setup to city where signal will be strongest and see what happens.

It’s likely the ppm failing to set at the -2. When ppm is off that can happen. When gain is set to high negative things can also happen.

OK but I cant find how to set this....theres no instructions that say how to adjust offset tuning. When I go into settings, there isnt anything except what system to pick and a web programmer and import from RR. Theres no other ways to set anything else.
