Thank you.Looks like you got to the root of it. Nice work
Requiring a live connection, when you are using an installation file, is a serious misstep. If the distro decides to take that poorly chosen path, then it should be declared in the opening screen, with an option to abort the installation process.Useful Tip

A bit off topic: what are the 2 carriers above and below (about +- 150 kHz) the WFM transmitters at 89,5 and 90,3 MHz in your pictures?
Fair enough. Still should not need a live net connection for an install. It's not an installer. It's a batch file.View attachment 135456
Ok, thank you! Is it IBOC? I never saw such a signal here in Europe.I think it's a North American thing. I have a car receiver that decodes FM digital.
I agree; it's an extra step that is unusual. But the SDR# Download page does give a warning and page 25 of the new manual is quite specific about the internet connection:Fair enough. Still should not need a live net connection for an install.
anyone having trouble with a rtl-sdr software? I've downloaded sdr++ and sdr# from airspy and neither one works
dickie757 posted a good link (long ago in this thread):It might be possible to add the downloaded files to the SDR# folder, but that is beyond my ability.
