So far, I am receiving informational SMS's that are event related, but I'm not completely confident they are coming from one of the several scansac list groups. More likely from people that I'm following. (although I did subscribe via my phone SMS, to all the groups, 2 weeks ago) Don't mind the other 49% off topic related messages. Most are pretty entertaining anyway, and they add a welcome glimmer of light during the middle of
a hectic work day.
(You guys crack me up!!..) I don't have a full phone KB, but will try to reciprocate when possible.

I know the keywords do work since I get totally unrelated hits off keywords, but I also doubt the accuracy of this feature. This is one reason why I have added extra TRACKed workds and use mulitple hits on some of my outgoing notifications.
"scansacpursuit scansac SPD pursuit ch 1"
Almost every day I get a totally unrelated hit on "SSD" which is one of the words I track.
I also get hits on the word "pursuit".
I don't mind the FEW unrelated msgs from others, I've added quite a few people on both accounts, "AntFreq" and "ScanSacramento". I know that some have added my personal Twitter at AntFreq, but my notifications are sent out 99% of the time on ScanSacramento.
Adding to AntFreq you may get some confusing, offensive or "inside joke" messages, but that's your choice and hopefully it doesn't ruin your experience. HA
Unfortunately for most, having two Twitter accounts isn't possible, since you can only have ONE cell phone number associated to your Twitter screen name. However there are work-arounds if you want a second Twitter that is not associated to your cell phone number.
1. If you have internet access on your cell, you can send out via the webpage on your 2nd Twitter and receive TRACKed messages on your personel Twitter.
2. If your cell has an Instant Messenger interface via text like AOL, you can send AND receieve scanner notificiations on your 2nd Twitter account.
3. If your cell has an e-mail interface via text message, you can receive scanner notification messages, but you can't send out.
My cell is a pocket PC through Verizon. It's a XV-6700 with full internet access. It has a slide out keyboard with touch screen. It's pretty easy to browse through basic webpages such as Twitter and Radio Reference.com.
I track keywords on my AntFreq account for notifications by keyword AND FOLLOWing profiles, but I send out messages through ScanSacramento.
I have noticed that I get the vast majority of notifications except when somebody sends out messages one after another very quickly. I tend to get the last one of 2 or 3 quickly sent out.
Twitter has been fully functional as we see it for less than a year. That's a short time in the world of hi-tech website services, therefore I do expect some glitches. However, Twitter has some very well experienced and "connected" people running their program, so I expect the service to develop fairly quickly. It's catching on pretty quick, especially through the business world. Companies have found it to be a great way to advertise their products and services.
There have been several pursuits in the last 2 weeks that I would have not known about if it wasn't for Twitter.
You could try not FOLLOWing anybody for a day or two and seen what you get compared to the Twitter websites. I have been deleteing my ScanSacramento posts after sending them out, perhaps I'll just leave them.
