Gawd - years-old videos and blog posts that will never die - forever giving outdated advice. Hm, that includes here. Oh well!

Two dongles - good to have in case one breaks (internally, USB connector, ...); also good for mapping out new non-P25 trunking systems - monitor the CC with one dongle and use the other to find the voice channels. Also good to have a variety, like the standard rtl-sdr.com or Nooelec dongles, plus an orange FlightAware Pro Stick (awesome sensitivity)

Just don't try to order the Pro Sticks in the GTA - the Amazon warehouse in Mississauga will send you the blue ADS-B -only Pro Stick Plus dongles and they're crap for VHF/UHF/700/800/900 use.

Good morning... I was not in the bios for anything related to SDR... matter of fact I could not get into due to not knowing the password and that was all prior to installing win 10. Wss trying to get to the display options so i could run a different vid card

Am still looking for thew download...?? Yes I looked into DSD+ folder, tho not really sure what I am looking for ? Would it be possible for someone to show me what it would look like??

I have replaced many a video card and can count on one hand the number of times I've had to change a BIOS setting to do ANYTHING with it. Disabling onboard is what my most current trend for that was, back many moons ago it was enabling BIOS-shadowing, but that's neither here nor there.

So you get the DSD+ email, they send you an attached file. You save it locally to your computer, you open it with the password, you extract the files to your computer, then you copy them all into the same folder as the DSD 1.01 files to give yourself the full set. You then make a copy of this folder AND FILES, and work out of the copy.

make sure you use 7zip and not the windows unzip which does not work. You will need your DSD+ password. It will download to your DSD+ folder.

have you looked in your DSD+ file for a .zip file?
dsd update avail.jpg

click "OK"

dsd update downloadsd.jpg

click "OK"

dsd update avail.jpg

now go into what ever folder you are running DSD+ and look for this.

downloaded file.jpg

You may have already done the first 2 (a couple of times), but you need to look for this zip file.

The first line of screen output from the program is the version number/info.

The first line of the DSD.EVENTS file is also the version number/info.

This may be one of the few programs that doesn't honor the (traditional) -v flag for version info, because it's constantly telling you what version you are running.
