Can you install a larger SD card, other then 8GB ?
I suspect so. For the SDS100, the 436HP/536HP, and the HomePatrol series (HP-1/HP-2) the largest size card that Uniden supports is 32gb, but I have seen comments from users that have cards up to 64gb, and are not having any issues. But unless you intend to record virtually full time, and not regularly clear the files from the scanner (or move them to your PC), an 8gb card will likely handle whatever you want without problems.
So does that mean the US versions of the SOS100 & SOS200 uses the proper 25kHz steps for the VHF Aviation Service Search, and for the Military Air Service Search, uses 25kHz steps for the 138-144/148-150.8MHz portion and doesn't switch to FM/12.5kHz steps for the 380-400MHz segment of the 225-400MHz portion?

Already been talked about why it is in the front and not the rear...
I'm not familiar with the SOS100 or SOS200 (perhaps as the King of All Monitoring you can tell me what they are) and I don't own an SDS100 or SDS200, but my 436 and 536s have functionality that lets me set custom modulation and steps for any portion of the receivable bands. According to pages 36 and 52/53 of the SDS200 manual, this feature is present in that radio as well.
We put a lot of thought and experimentation into incorporating Bluetooth, actually. In addition to increasing the size and cost of the scanner, it would have introduced a very high level of RF noise into the scanner. That last reason is also why the Wi-Fi dongle on the 536 is a dongle, and not integrated. In general, transmitters in close proximity to wide-band receivers are a poor combination. This post was a while ago, but it is Uniden's last known thoughts on Bluetooth in wide-band receivers:

It's $60 each for DMR & NXDN, not $85, when purchasing direct from Uniden. I presume you are seeing the $85 cost on one of the sites where the scanner can be ordered. The extra $25 for each key is their convenience charge for purchasing the key for you, & then entering the unlock key code. You can easily do all that yourself, and save the extra cost.If I bought one, I'd have to add the $85 for DMR and $85 for NXDN. All county sheriffs around me and ours use either DMR or NXDN. That means I am going to have to pass for now.
Does that mean its over 12" wide in the front panel??….300mm????As listed in post #1:
"1.5X Din-E (300 mm x 75 mm) chassis"
Does that mean its over 12" wide in the front panel??….300mm????
..ok thx....I'll look for itA few pages back Marshall was kind enough to show the measurement with a tape measure. It’s as wide as the current scanners out.

Safe to say that the 536 and the sds200 are the same chassis width????Thanks!
