Back at the end of 2023 I purchased a SDS200E from Moonraker. Part of the lure was that it had all of the keys installed (except the Waterfall key as it wasn't out at that time, but after it was available I did buy it from Uniden.au in the spring of 2024 and have the Waterfall key).
(The Moonraker ad----> Uniden SDS-200E + Activated DMR + NXDN + ProVoice Desk Top/Mobile Scanner Receiver )

I've had several of the Uniden scanners over the years, and I'm still an ignorant end user who struggles to "get it".
(BCD536, Home Patrol, 996P2 and now the SDS200E)
Whatever keys for those older units that I purchased are reflected in the Uniden.com (My Uniden) website where I have all of those previously owned units registered and I can see what they were, and when I sold the units those keys obviously are tied to the units, etc.
Point being, I cannot register the "E" version on the myuniden.com site and therefore cannot reveal the enabled keys that are associated with the SDS200E.
Is there any way to obtain the keys from the unit? Is there any alternative to registering the unit at an alternate site to expose the keys like it is on myuniden.com?
One may be asking why I want the keys?
I'm playing around with the OpenScanner firmware and CFT and see an area where the keys I reference need to be inserted ( GitHub - x27/openscanner: OpenScanner FWs ).
Alternately, I'm assuming Moonraker might help but I'm asking here 1st.
BTW, has anyone played with OpenScanner?

First, check to see if the optional offerings keys have been entered… menu>settings>upgrade. If they are, the scanner will tell you so when clicking on that option. If not, the scanner will ask for a key when you click on that option.

The keys for the optional features are only able to be used in the radio they are purchased for. You tell Uniden which serial number(?) you are buying the key for. Then the key won’t load into any other scanner. So Joe can’t by a key and give it to Jack to use in his scanner… Jack must buy his own key.

Those are different keys. The keys for DMR/NXDN/ProVoice/Waterfall are one type of keys that stays in the scanner and whatever you do to the scanner, trying different firmwares and such, they will still be there in protected memory. The OpenScanner firmware allows encryption keys to be entered that are a different thing.

Uniden keys are not encryption keys. The keys mentioned in the firmware are for encryption. The uniden software keys will be of zero use with that custom firmware.

"The OpenScanner firmware allows encryption keys to be entered that are a different thing."
I comprehend. But then the questions are:

Where do keys come from if they are closely held secrets, encrypted, and treasured security functions of communications that use them, are they randomly generated, purposely generated by a "tool", and if jazillions of keys exist making it impossible to use anything to find them?

Why then does a program like 'OpenScanner' exist, and why would someone pay for whatever it is that is being sold?

Excuse my ignorance. I'm just a bit old and tired coming from a 60+ year hobby of listening to scanners, playing with PLL mods to get "extra channels" on CB Radios back in the day, and I wonder why to even bother with owning an expensive rig like a SDS200E if I can hear 99.99% of the transmissions on the Internet or with other things. I guess what I' also saying is other than fire and ems, air traffic, DPW and other freqs that aren't locked down yet, what the fun if you have to listen online to Chicago?

The "key" to the keys is that they're codes based on one's electronic serial number (ESN).
