On the portrait orientation display it will show the lat and long on the bottom. Those are actually read from the scanner, so if they are wrong, you won't get what you want

I created a new version, 1.6.
The changes are:
- Sets the scanner clock based on the android system time/date
- Fixes an issue with comma's in the data for the landscape display for BCD436 (although not tested)
- Even though I said I wouldn't do it, Adds WIFI connectivity

To use WIFI you need:
Have a scanner which connects to the network (BCD536, SDS200)
Know the scanner's IP address (IPv4)
Have the device on the same subnet as the scanner
And probably a bunch more stuff I haven't thought of

There is no error message if it cannot connect so if you cannot get WIFI working, just fall back to USB. Assuming I haven't broken anything in USB in the process.

You can side load it here:

Or if you have already given me your email address as part of the Google testing program, you can install it from Google Play here:

If you would like to install if from Google Play, you have to DM me your email address (the one you use to access Google Play) so I can add you to the testers list and then you can access it at the link above. You would also be helping me out doing that.

Loaded on my Motorola One Ace android, put in ip address of scanner of SDS200, connected to wifi, screen works great, can control everything so far

But no sound on phone. is the sound supposed to come over phone, or is this just a scanner control app?

Edit: Never mind, went back to beginning and read it is just control, no sound. But would be better with sound.

So i can connect my scanner to the phone wifi and use that connection to connect it to my computer such as proscan?
If you are talking about using the phone's hotspot as the WIFI, I don't know, haven't tried it

If you are talking about connecting a non wifi scanner to WiFi with this app, the answer is no

I don't think the range setting is that accurate. How far away are the systems being scanned?

I assume you have checked the lat and long on the portrait display are correct to verify the scanner is getting the correct location?

Then that's probably just how the scanner works. You would have to use a favorites list to get only what you want

Something's wrong with the Google Play address. When I copy and past, or click on it, I get a "Not Found" error message...

The link is working correctly for everyone else.
I know we had a problem with your email addresses before. I can only assume you have another email address you are actually using for the Google Play store.
There isn't much I can do at this point
