BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Setting 436 Up to Scan for Just One Talkgroup

I live near a national park in the US and the rangers are dispatched by the county on the far side of the park. That county uses a Motorola Type II SmartZone system. What I want to do is put that system in the scanner...and I know how to do that with Sentinel or with Butel's s/w which I am running in BETA....then I want to only hear that system when that one Talkgroup has traffic.

If someone is inclined to help, I'd love to know what steps to take after marking that system as Download and Monitor and sending it to the radio to ensure I ONLY hear the rangers.

If that is the only talk group ID you program in that Favorites List, and you are scanning only that Favorites List (i.e. Main Database is disabled), then that is all you'll hear.

You can create a favorite that contains only the NPS department, then avoid the other NPS talk groups you don't want.
