I believe there is an error in the database for the Forreston Site in Ogle County on STARCOM21. The database shows one of the frequencies is 851.00625. That frequency does not show on the WQFH222 license. However, the license shows 854.9625 which is not listed in the database. I ran a search for 851.00625 in the FCC ULS and it did not find that frequency in use in the state of Illinois.
Those 4 frequencies are in the license (WQFH222) as well as 854.9625.Looking at my Pro96Com files, on 07-31-2009, the frequencies for T124 were 856.2125, 857.2125 (c), 858.2125, and 859.2125 (a). I know it's old, but frequencies on towers don't change often
Paper, pen and patience paid off once again! Was able to log 10 of the 11 probationary troopers during "Emergency Button Radio Training" a little while ago on 3-A and 3-North.
20 more Probationary Troopers hitting the highways today. I'm hearing the radio shop testing new radios on T3-Car to Car in the upper 10074xx/11074xx range which would correspond with the radio structure in Troop 3.
You should be hearing some new radio call signs soon in the Troops mentioned on the press release.
The WS 1040 can receive Digital P25 but the StarCom 21 system is currently capable of being phase II P25 (TDMA). Depending on your location all or part of the traffic could be on Phase 1 or Phase 2. I haven’t noticed any Phase II P25 in my area of southeast Illinois. If buying a new scanner I would look for a model that can receive P25 phase II. If your in a metro area where simulcast systems are in use the WS 1040 will struggle to decode simulcast StarCom.Can someone tell me if the WS1040 will receive STARCOM21?
