Hello. I have an unidentified TG that I have been hearing for a couple of weeks. TG 53404 with radio IDs starting with 76. Not been able to catch complete radio IDs and what communications I have heard sounds like some facility security. I know not in the new Stark County TG range, maybe a state agency?
Thanks

All of the radio IDs associated with that talkgroup are Stark Co radio IDs (7690xxx).

The Alpha Tag is: 123ACS

But I have no idea what "123ACS" may mean. That's just what is in the radios.

So it doesn't have to be a Stark Co agency - it can be a non-police/fire/ems agency within Stark Co. No idea who it is though.

Anyone in Stark want to venture a guess as to what "123ACS" describes ?

They were heard reporting that an ambulance was either coming to or leaving a hospital one day. Then they called a PD one time. Don' tknow if it's some sort of security somewhere or what.

Thanks. I had been thinking maybe Stark State College since they had a TG on Canton/Stark County system. Trying to think of facilities with ACS in name, nothing in mind. I will keep listening also.

Duck Duck Go is your friend. A simple search for "123ACS" turned up:

https://www.goang.com/locations/ohio/Blue-Ash-Air-National-Guard-Station

Could be the 123rd Air Control Squadron out of Blue Ash (suburb of Cincinnati). I seem to recall hearing that Air National Guard talkgroups were available to all ANG units, so it's possible a local guard unit is talking to them, although if they're reporting ambulances moving around I kind of doubt it.

Sorry if I missed this, but now that the Stark Simulcast is online, will the other MARCS stand alone sites like Minerva, Massillon, etc. be taken offline?

The stand-alone Canton, Massillon, and East Sparta sites were shut down shortly after the simulcast went online. As stated above, Minerva is a new site to enhance coverage in that tri-county area. It is not simulcast with the other Stark towers.

45002 is listed as North Canton PD. I admit that I don't routinely listed to law enforcement, but traffic on this talkgroup seems very minimal. It appears to be only the school resource officer. Possibly, the entire department has not moved over yet.

Re: 123acs

Please disregard any previous mention of 123ACS being tied to 53404. i was wrong. I errored. I don't know what 53404 is, but it's not 123ACS.

"315 to StarCom" doing some testing

45160 CHANNEL 1
45163 INQUIRY (Encrypted) - but same radio IDs that were testing CHANNEL1 and CIVIL
45165 CIVIL

I don't know if this is Stark Co Sheriff or if it's Canton PD. But they were doing some testing back and forth between the channels at about 7:45 this morning. Likely Stark Co Sheriff given they were testing with StarCom.

When one was asked to go to INQUIRY and call, both radio IDs switched to 45163 ENC.

I've got lots of hits on 45164 -- every hit is ENC. So it's safe to say that whatever that talkgroup is, it's full time encryption as well.

45160 (clear) - radio IDs: 76000xx, 76001xx, 76002xx, 76003xx, 76004xx
45162 (clear) - radio ID: 7600449
45163 (clear / ENC) - radio IDs: 76001xx, 76002xx, 76004xx
45164 (ENC) - radio IDs: 76000xx, 76001xx, 76002xx
45165 (clear) - radio IDs: 76000xx, 76001xx

Haven't figured out what it is yet, but there is a bit of testing on 45041 right now. It's a fire-related talkgroup. They are testing various scenarios where there is background noise and such. They are testing with masks (with/without air) etc.

Actually, sounds more like general testing. May not be a fire talkgroup.
