Haven't figured out what it is yet, but there is a bit of testing on 45041 right now. It's a fire-related talkgroup. They are testing various scenarios where there is background noise and such. They are testing with masks (with/without air) etc.

Actually, sounds more like general testing. May not be a fire talkgroup.

Most testing heard on TG 45041 was Station 8 personnel and Medic 8 doing testing around the city, in the basement of Aultman, etc. They were testing intelligibility of communications under certain extreme environments that fire personnel might be in.

Just heard "Driver 76 radio check" twice on 45156. I think 45156 is going to be a SARTA talkgroup. We already know that 45155 is SARTAFIX (SARTA fixed routes). Didn't hear any response to his radio check though. Radio Ids on TG 45156 are 76103xx and 76104xx.

45156 (a SARTA talkgroup) is probably the PROLINE talkgroup but I can't be sure. Im not familiar with what the PROLINE operations sounded like on the old system. 45155/45156 are fairly busy on the MARCS Stark Co Simulcast though. On 45156 it seems to be only scheduled pickups and dropoffs for specific people/names, and not just stops for every tom, dick and harry. So that leads me to believe its SARTA PROLINE, MEDICAID or VETERAN services. Given I don't see any MEDICAID or VETERAN specific talkgroup on the old system, it's likely PROLINE.

I believe that Stark Sheriff is in the process of switching over to MARCS. They are coming in loud and clear on the SDS100.

It does appear SO is switching over. TG 45160 is clear and sounds SO deputies by address given as opposed to village PDs. TG 45155 does sound like SARTA fixed routes opsand TG 45156 does sound like SARTA Pro-Line ops.

45160 CHANNEL 1 "Dispatch"
45163 INQUIRY (Mostly Encrypted) - but same radio IDs that were testing CHANNEL1 and CIVIL
45164 METRO or METRO1 (Encrypted)
45165 CIVIL

45011 NCPDTC1 - North Canton Police Tac 1 - Heard briefly today; was unencrypted at the time
45160 SO76DSP - Stark Co Sheriff DIspatch - Thus far seems to be 100% in the clear
45163 INQUIRY - Stark Co Sheriff Inquiry - The first day I heard a mix of ENC/unENC. Since then it has been 100% ENC - license lookups and such I'm guessing
45164 METRO - Stark Co Sheriff "Metro" channel - 100% encrypted - I'm betting this is the Stark Co Sheriff Metropolitan Narcotics Unit
45165 CIVIL - Stark Co Sheriff "Civil" channel - unencrypted - appears to be process servers (serving legal papers, etc)

53076 SCVC-01 - 100% encrypted

- RIDs: 189615x and 76903xx

53080 SCVC-02 - 100% encrypted

Your guess is as good as mine regarding what this traffic is. Predominantly Stark (76) radio Ids but some Cuya (18) radio Ids.

I just caught a bolo going out over a patch that included 45071 and 45160.

I seem to recall that when these go out over Stark800, they go over Police/Fire Common (16368). I wonder if that's what 45071 will be.

When they were testing talkgroups earlier this week, they called 45071 "COUNTYWIDE". They were testing along with the others -- Dispatch, Metro, Inquiry, Civil, and Countywide.

On the old system I see it is labeled (most likely mislabeled) as CNTYLINE -- WTH would it be county line? I'm sure its countywide. And that is the same talkgroup you were referencing off of Stark 800.

So I'm sure you are right, but it's CNTYWIDE and not CNTYLINE.

And the 45164 METRO (which is 100% encrypted and has a ton of radio IDs on it) is probably the Metro Narcotics Unit, and not the equivalent of Stark800 16400 (CNTY METRO).

And the 45165 CIVIL is likely equivalent to One of the Stark800 system SO talkgroups related to courts, like the MUNI CRT talkgroup.

I'd expect there will be changes from what we are used to. New radios seems like a good time to clean things up and change user habits. :)

I did manage to find the original submission for Stark800 16368. It was submitted on March 21, 2006 (twelve plus years ago):
Digital TG #16368-"County Line". I have heard several FD's call for the SO and calling this the "County Line" channel.

Look at submission from 2006-08-05 for an update on 16368 suggesting it is CountyWide.

I can't remember but I think that may have been myself. I do recall either listening to training or some type of fire and they were using some of the mutual aid channels and I believe they were using the countywide channel. I could have sworn that I submitted countywide but perhaps I heard something else at the time and never thought to check.
