As a new system begins to come online for testing, individual tower sites that are members of a simulcast cell are turned on - and sometimes turned off. That would explain why some can see a new control channel and others cannot.
That makes sense, I currently have reliable indoor coverage on the unication. earlier today and last night signal was weak for me.

Delaware peeps should start submitting their findings to the RRDB so they can publish them as sites come online. In the above screen shot, the active control channel is 853.350; the alternates are 853.1125, 851.100, and 853.5875 (which is the current cch for the Smartzone system.) The only traffic channel in use atm is 852.600, both slot 1 and slot 2 - which confirms this will be a P25 Phase 2 system as we expected.

Two more notes and I'll shut up: this SmartZone to P25 upgrade is following a similar pattern to what occurred in Montgomery County, MD when they transitioned from SZ to P25 and reused their existing frequencies. The SZ to P25 upgrade in Anne Arundel County, MD was different because they added a set of new frequencies and used a new one as the primary cch, and decommissioned other frequencies that were prone to interference. The second note is that I am now seeing the Delaware P25 system at my house, so they must have enabled another tower site closer to me today.

What's the NCC control channel? 853.9375? I'm going to try and tune in from Philly by the Walt Whitman bridge. I always seem to get the Smartzone system very reliable over there.

Correct, on air now. Voice channel on 851.725 with the same TG's noted earlier.

I was just looking at the FCC Callsign, and I noticed that 4 frequencies have been added to each site. I was wondering if that was of any significance as I did add them for monitoring the P25 sites for Kent and NCC.

What call sign were you looking at? The only frequencies that are relevant for a Motorola P25 system are the control channels.

WQDN950 and WPIZ596. I just noticed the additional frequencies when I clicked on the New Castle and Kent Simulcast on the current system in the RRDB, and I was wondering about the significance of the additional frequencies.

Without examining the license, I suspect additional channels are meant to mitigate capacity and/or interference issues.

4 voice channels listed this morning on Kent Site (12)
853.91875
854.16875
854.2375
854.03125

I see a patch
2288 to 2416
2288 is listed as N-DSP data in the old system and 2416 is listed as K-DSP Data
I wonder if they will just make a statewide data channel now instead of needing that postion filled in all 3 counties?

I made an initial submission to the RRDB yesterday for the Sussex site, so that data should be up in a day or two.

Hmm, I'm not sure those five decimal place frequencies are accurate - unusual to see those in the 800 band, and are not on the FCC licenses.

Some other things I saw this morning were weird too I was acually going to message you when I get home before I spread confusion. In a nutshell the old system appeared to be showing as a peer. I’ll message @maus92 what I saw

I am staging a new radio system and filling in the details as they become available. But it is not set for public view until we have a lot more info. They are just starting the testing so publishing it w/o all the site freq's and TG's would not be very beneficial to most people.
