Hey Travis. I see you submitted the new 700 repeater in Enid you found the other day. Just curious, did you actually hear someone talking on it? Were they talking to Enid headquarters? Just curious. Thank for the update. Happy Scanning!

Sorry, I forgot to revisit this the other day.

Yes, it was troop J units speaking to troop J headquarters. That was the only traffic I heard on the frequency for the four or so hours I was there. Traffic was coming across on TG:1. I'm still questioning the NAC though. Using Universal Scanner Audio Player, it shows 073 as the NAC. I question this as the OKWIN sites were showing something like 22343 as their NACs instead of the usual 92x NACs when viewing the recordings with that software. I'll verify next time I'm in the area and submit corrections if needed.

I have access to monitoring this frequency, is there anything I could collect and pass on to help you guys? Currently using DSD+ Fastlane.

About the only useful things you can collect from a conventional P25 repeater are NAC, talkgroup IDs and radio IDs. Also what it is actually used for and if you hear it patched to other systems.

Yes, it would be nice to confirm the NAC, since I suspect what I got might be incorrect, and monitor for any additional TGs.

Now why in the world would they need those? There's OKWIN, OKCs system, OMAC, and not to mention OHP's analog stuff to choose from, seems like a waste to me.

The State of Missouri is implementing a very similar plan....significantly commensurate...and.....
they appear to be in the same situation as Oklahoma.

Missouri did it right and used a dual band system. There is no reason is Western Oklahoma with wide open area to use 700mhz other than Motorola is able to charge for more sites. They already have VHF radios in their vehicles that could have been used. Instead of using 3 watt/35 watt radios. Waste of resources.
