I was out earlier and checked recordings, heard traffic about a stolen cruiser (WV 513 license plate, weapons in the vehicle) southbound on Rt 522 about 08:50 this morning. Later WVSP said he was eastbound on RT 9.

I was out earlier and checked recordings, heard traffic about a stolen cruiser (WV 513 license plate, weapons in the vehicle) southbound on Rt 522 about 08:50 this morning. Later WVSP said he was eastbound on RT 9.

After doing more "investigating" , you are on the right track. I life on RT 9 east but there was no WVSP/County vehicle activity. The MDSP helo was doing a 1 mile circle pattern almost directly overmy place but could not nail down any VHF ATC comms. Binoculars help with the ID.

1628- Just now hearing some comms. ?????-53 preparing to AR 260.9
Not sure of the callsign and not a lot of comms to figure it out. It's a single syllable.
Been scanning all my fighter tac freqs and nothing.

I think the CAP callsign may be STALK. So maybe F-16s from the 169th FW in SC.

1900- CAP is over, never heard any handoffs for them departing.

1915-Qatar Amiri Flight-1 A7-HHH is departing Andrews.

2015- Saudi Air Force HZ-102 has departed from Dulles

Nice recording of the Aberdeen Aerostat JLENS VHF radar.. Here in Northeastern Maryland it comes in on squelch breaks of many area freqs AM and FM.
When it is up over Aberdeen Proving Grounds you know it here on the radio.

They do aerial power line inspections. That might be the helo we had over OC a month or two ago inspecting all the big steel transmission towers. Probably under contract to DPL to inspect their transmission lines in the area.
