Back at 1604 there was a RAT-69 inbound with SAM CP. She said they are with the Blue Angels, doing something (leaving?) on Sunday.

Just saw a news clip about United-897 that was to be heading to China. An engine quit after takeoff and they had to return. I looked it up on flightaware, you can see the circles it was flying to burn off fuel. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL897

1902: REACH 0455 to HUNTRESS...reports squawking 6262, position north of Atlantic City at 17,000 feet...looking for a modes and codes check...364.2
1907: TANKER 13 flying toward the area at FL 250...KC-135R from the 133rd ARS NH-ANG Pease.
1909: TANKER 12 cleared to get his clearance by HUNTRESS...260.9

1918: RAPTOR 03 tries to contact TANKER 13 on 228.9, no joy and reports back to HUNTRESS 260.9. He's told to go back.

Where'd the 1030 p.m. come from Mark? Usual time is 2300.

A couple possible fighter types heard with Dover appch UHF into Millville airport Jersey
for airshow.

1615 local TOWN 11 decending direct Millville at 5k 300 knots. I thought maybe TALON 11 but replays clearly sounds like TOWN 11. Dover appch 257.875

1815 local HAWK 81 flt of 4 on 327.125 AC appch direct Millville.

Re: 257.875 in Virginia

Hi guys,

Re: 257.875 in Virginia:

Caught a few xmsns on 257.875 earlier on, and it was simulcasting Potomac TRACON freq 118.675, so must be a new LURAY freq?

Sorry if I missed a previous tieup for this one.

Best regards,

Tony

RAPTOR-42 just entered the CAP, TANKER-14 cleared in too. RAPTOR-41 is a few minutes behind.

That will probably be it for me today, off to Summit Point.

0950 and the new set of players are on station in the CAP. RAPTOR 43 (04-4076) and RAPTOR 44 (04-4082) are the F-22As from the 94th Fighter Squadron at Langley. TANKER 15 is a KC-135R (59-1523) from the 171st ARW PA-ANG Pittsburgh. I wasn't around for the first shift so missed TANKER 14's affiliation or RAPTOR 41/42's tails. They are completing the initial refueling upon arriving on station.

0954: RAPTOR 41/42 are released from the CAP and head for home. They switch to "22 over 31" and come up on interflight 315.85 for chat. I wonder if that's going to become the standard interflight freq for the Raptors while in the CAP? It was used yesterday also.

Edit: No tail number but learned TANKER 14 was a KC-135R from the 126th ARS WI-ANG Milwaukee

I'm off and running also.

Just switched the radios on here and so far:

1413Z 260.900 HUNTRESS - requests RAPTOR 43 QSY 135.525.
1415Z 135.525 ZDC-GUARD DOG - RAPTOR 43 - FL210 and expect it to be spurious within the next couple of mins. Not sure what the context was here.
1416Z 350.250 ZDC-GUARD DOG - RAPTOR 43 reads center 5x5.
1418Z 260.900 HUNTRESS - RAPTOR 43 shows timber sour.
1420Z 135.525 ZDC-GUARD DOG - RAPTOR 44 is ready to exit the CAP. Obviously plans changed.
1422Z 378.100 GRIFFIN CP Andrews - REACH 6413 (C-130H 86-0413 758th AS) - inbound 20 mins. out status A1 parking 11 Row.
1425Z 260.900 HUNTRESS - RAPTOR 44 - gets bullseye info and TANKR 15 passes offload info to HUNTRESS as well.

1433Z-1444Z both RAPTORs hit the TANKR for gas.
1445Z 260.900 HUNTRESS - issues TOI info to RAPTOR 43 then quickly issues skip it.
1452Z 260.900 HUNTRESS - wkg HARRIER requests posit. off of Emmitsburg.

Got it now.....

I thought you were talking about the FAA site on top of Lambs Knoll, about 10 miles south of that, where the new MIEMS, Washington County, MSP Frederick, Frederick County 800, NPS and some other interesting stuff is......

1330: TANKER 16 is coming into the area. It's a KC-135R from the 77th ARS at Seymour Johnson AFB SC. In fact, it's the same one that was here yesterday - tail 62-3542. He was TANKER 11 yesterday during the first shift in the CAP.

It looks like RAPTORs 43/44 are pulling some extra time. Running from 0600-2300 doesn't equate to four 4-hour shifts so that extra hour is made up somehow. This is how. :)
