0841 This morning while having coffee watched that (AE51CC) first picked up
at 8.4k slowly make his way to level 24k and logged for total of about 24 minutes.
Acts like C-130 type but frantic searching on radios with busy radio traffic I didn't catch him.

Off topic: http://flightaware.com/live/airport/4MD
This a heliport near inner harbor Baltimore?
Saw chopper flight from Dover..

Cincinnati Tower was just talking to REACH 237T, which stopped at Patterson last night; asked them if they had damage from the bird strike on final.

AIR FORCE 1 departed 2040Z direct APE.

SAM 5522 (unid) was at Patterson; departed 2050Z direct APE.

Went outside to watch for AF1 overhead (too overcast, however), so I didn't get times or instructions, but frequencies were as follows:

128.700 (CVG DEP) > 134.000 (ZID 23) > 135.575 (ZID 69) > 125.075 (ZID 79)

Haven't heard anything since the switch over 125.075; last altitude was FL310.

Logs for today:

SAM 5522 (unid) - support of POTUS visit; to Andrews?
RANDY 11, 12 (2x T-38C) - approaches
MAPLE 81 FLIGHT (unid) - departed after RON
SENTRY 21 (E-3, unid) - called Metro for weather for Tinker AFB at 2100Z; 62 mi south, FL310
REACH 237T (unid, probably C-17A) - support of POTUS visit; to KCVG after RON

I'm back at school now; so I should have more accurate logs now that I can visually ID most of the aircraft that come through. First day of classes tomorrow, though - I'm going to hit the sack!

2023- Sounds like MICE-43 to ZDC-Montebello 121.675 from ZDC-Blackstone 235.625 after saying no one was answering on 121.675.
2025- Now asks for UHF instead. To 284.7. I think it may be E-6B 164388 which just showed up on ADS-B.
2031- Cleared to FL250 from 240 right after I lost it on mode-s. Gained just enough altitude to pick it up again.
2035- Handed off to 133.2 where their signal is immediately much worse.
2059- Lost 388 for a while but it just reappeared in PA.

Spent the weekend at Lake Gaston,NC. Didn't really do any milair monitoring other than trying to see if could hear any CAP comms. While on the lake Sunday afternoon. This one flew by at 1000ft or less and turned back eastbound about a mile west of Eaton Ferry Rd. I wonder how normal it is for the USCG to over fly the lake.

Nice pic.. Heard that MICE 43 on ZDC Snow Hill as well.
He was looking to get to Oceana but was going in holding pattern at Norfolk.
Not sure what that was.Prob was E-6 like you said.

Lake Gaston far from Elizabeth City? Thought maybe just a local training run.

Looks like possible NYC UN? CAP Weds morning or just restrictions.

0200Z: OKIE 90 (KC-135R, unid) has been holding for nearly two hours waiting for thunderstorms in the area. There was a short window where it could've landed around 0100Z, but there's problem with the runway lights on 23R.

0215Z: Dispatch just reported every other light and the edge lights are out, so the runway is NOTAM closed. The crew of OKIE 90 is getting impatient - I don't blame them. Lightning still reported within five miles, but Metro plans to cancel the warning soon.

0220Z: OKIE 90 said if the lights aren't fixed within an hour, they'd like to divert to KGUS. Dispatch is calling to see how the weather is over there.

0225Z: Dispatch called back; KGUS closes at 0300Z. OKIE 90 is now calling Grissom Dispatch; said they were planning to divert there because they thought the base closed at 0400Z. Saying they're going to talk about it and call them back.

0227Z: Dispatch talked to the electrician working on the lights, who told them that it may only be 3-4 minutes if he pinpointed the issue correctly.

Very interesting - I just looked on AirNav, which lists (several times) that KGUS operates until 0400Z.

0235Z: Dispatch reports no joy on the lights. OKIE 90 says they will make another orbit and call back. Calling KGUS again, looking to squeeze in if the lights don't work.

Possibly JAWS 11 x4 [F-16 VT ANG] whom I heard at that time, also on 138.525 and working DARKSTAR on 238.250.

EIA780 (B742) just called in, 30 min out; parking on HAZPAD 4. Took off from Dover - did anyone catch it on the box? Looking for a tail number on it (was going to try and get a picture on landing, but the fog hasn't lifted enough).
