Heads Up

For you guys with the SBS boxes. At 0810 EDY had a fighter up on 270.8 tell Bay Watch that he going to join up with Lightening 73 (F-35 JSF). for some test work

Hopefully the JSF will show up on the SBS box

0527- 14 talking to a tanker on 396.2

GOLD 55 and MAZDA 11-16 joined up over ACK with GOLD 56, followed by the second cell MAZDA 21-26 with GOLD 65 and GOLD 66.
They were up on A/R primary 391.000, when MAZDA 24 declared an inflight emergency and diverted with MAZDA 23 to Otis ANGB.

The final cell was MAZDA 31-36 with GOLD 75 and later GOLD 76. Never picked up their A/R frequency ....

Hi,

Four VMAQ-1 Prowlers returned this afternoon from Lajes as TREND 71 flight.
They changed their callsign enroute to Cherry Point in BANSHEE 1 flight.

Recently their ops frequency changed to 354.350, can anyone confirm this please ?

Official documents from MCAS Cherry Point have that frequency listed from as far back as January 2009. The most recent one I have is January 2011, with the same freq shown.

A-10s returning to CONUS

Good evening,

The ANG / AFRC A-10s that were deployed to Bagram since September 2011, should be returning
to CONUS this weekend. Here are some details:

TREND 41-46 with BLUE 91 flight are filed for tomorrow, Saturday April 14th.
TREND 31-36 with BLUE 81 flight should be returning from Lajes on Sunday, April 15th.

BLACKJACK 1 & 2 are currently practicing intercepts with each other at 2043. Air-to-air comms are on 157.05

Thanks for the heads up Rene. Just turned on the radios and heard a little bit. Here's my post to the groups.

I listened to LiveATC audio recording and it sure sounded like they dropped into Otis/Cape Cod Air Station (KFMH). While they were on ZBW, TREND 31 flight switched to Cape Approach North on 284.6 in the descent to 10,000' Cape Altimeter 2999. Listened for another 20 minutes, no more transmissions.

Listen up for their final leg home tomorrow.

Guys,

One of the guys on the Milcom list posted this and I have his permission to pass it on to you guys if you're interested:

I finally got my setup configured right to broadcast NAS Oceana
tower/app/dep, Field support, and Giant Killer freqs. Langley is
thrown in there as well, but they don't transmit alot, plus their
signal isn't very loud. Either way, thought you might want to check it
out. Not real busy on weekends, but during the week they are always
chatting away. Max users for the feed are 20 and only 6 of you know
about it right now till I see how bad it sucks up my bandwidth. :))
That and obviously don't want to attract any unwanted attention.

AF1 should be inbound from Michigan soon. C-32A 98-0001 showing S44 will be landing in about 10 minutes.

GOLD / TREND Leg 2

Looks like the AV-8Bs that landed at Bangor a couple days ago took off this morning for the next leg of their journey. I only caught a little bit on recording as they climbed out of Bangor and started the first refueling while heading East.

1015z 254.600 GOLD 21 and TREND (71 ??) flight on Coronet 71 Primary, GOLD 21 told TREND that center asks him to turn off his transponder.
1047z 236.750 GOLD 31 and TREND 81 flight on Coronet 81 J Primary.
1104z 236.750 GOLD 31 and TREND 81 flight A-A, Checklist complete. 81, you are cleared up to the basket.

I think the MD ANG may be taking delivery of 11-72208 also. I just logged this one for the first time in the middle of the night.
