Some IDs I caught today on various frequencies. Couldn't find any info on them.
ARGON 04
GLARE 05
Also had SPAR 540 moving through the area tonight.

Didn't write down the freqs but if I remember correctly they were ATC and or AR (maybe 288.0?)

Not sure if you meant Ft Dix or Lakehurst because there are 2 different trunked systems and the bases are adjoining. The state 800 system has NG units out of Dix with daily training nets. Lakehurst has the new assault runway that various A/C from around the country practice short take-offs and landings and night time no lights/lights, etc. Also daily JENA flights in and out. I think those aerostats are developed and tested out of Lakehurst.

F-35 callsigns ?

wonder what callsigns you guys have logged for the F-35 's ?

i was surprised nobody logged the one that flew down here to USMC Air Station Cherry Point....

it flew down here to NKT on tuesday july 9.....gonna be here awhile....but mainly 99.9% for ground maintanence crews to get hands on time/experience at the maintanence facility long before the big numbers start rolling in in future years....if and when things go according to plan....

just wondered what callsign might perk up my ears ?

Barefoot,

The only F-35s I've heard are the Navy versions at PAX River & they've used the Lightening ## callsign

Picking up dog fight

Picking up some practice dog fighting. Live now.

Hearing Strike three calling "tally ho" and "fights on". And reference to huntress.

Fades in and out...

143.150

Sounds like a practice fight. Practice intercepts.

Talking to Guide and Huntress.

I have that freq as 121st. FS. DC ANG

Hearing air to air, a senior pilot coaching on the use of NVG and refueling.

Guessing that's night vision goggles.

I was catching most of it too. Some of the IDs were: SCARY, WILD on 339.725, 139.15 and coordination with GK on 255.0 and lots of AR on 288.0

Just heard a louder than usual sound from my location near Dulles. Then started paying attention to my scanner and heard a plane with UHF approach. Told to switch to tower 348.6 but I haven't heard it there. Sounds like they already landed, tower talking to them on the ground. Callsign sounds like CAMELOT51.

Could be an F-18 from Lemoore. Bad weather in the Oceana area right now could be a reason for diverting, but why not to Andrews instead?

2200- Someone at Dulles just confirmed for me that an F-18 landed there.
C-17 ROYAL50 inbound, ADW likely 128.35.

Seems that planes are flying a pretty short final from the west tonight.

I wish I had my ANG group in the rotation last night. I didn't think anyone would be out training with all the weather in the area.

315.85 for air-air. 1st FW, sounds like F-22s. SONIC33/34 currently.
