Peninsula PD 2

I'm seeing a lot of activity on TG 13492 on the Summit 800 system by RIDs 30814 and 30815. It seems to be directing traffic. But the RIDs don't fit the normal Boston Hts or Peninsula RID series. Anyone have a clue who these are?

Don't you mean TG 34192 and not 13492? All RID's I hear on TG 34192 are RID 30814 Peninsula Pd 2

Yes 34192. At least I had all the numbers - just not in the right order. :(

But who is RIDs 30814 and 30815? Like I said that's not in the normal range. Maybe just new radios. But I never caught which dept.
~~
Now I'm seeing RID 27752 which is Peninsula on there.

The other day I saw a Parma Hts RID on the Parma Special Events TG directing traffic so they are just doing off duty or temp help jobs.

It is a fair assumption if RID 30814 is showing up on a TG specifically labeled Peninsula Pd 2 that the radio belongs to Peninsula Pd and not Boston Heights, no?

Lots of big concerts and traffic issues at Blossom the past few days.

They may be loaner radios or part of the Summit Co. Sheriff's fleet to issue to all the extra needed help.

Based upon my database of logged RID's this is what I have -

Twinsburg Pd RID's 308xx
Boston Hts Pd RID's 306xx
Summit Sheriff RID's 24xxx and 35xxx

This would indicate that 30814 used on Peninsula TG 34192 may have been a Twinsburg Pd working a Blossom Event.

I've never logged any TPD unit RID lower than 30827 (and I lived there 32 years) and have listened to the 800 system since they were on it.
Summit County Regional 800 Radio IDs - The RadioReference Wiki

Not that that couldn't happen. I saw a Northfield Village FD unit reply with an RID of 29134 which is not in their normal RIDs. I guess there are a number of people that may have issued portables and work for more than one department.

Also on the Peninsula PD2 I saw RID 7409.

Re: RID 30815

I searched my old logs for RID 30815 and it first showed up on BostHts/PenPD 34160 TG back in June 2014. 30815 appears on GCRCN for Brookpark FD also but I doubt that has anything to do with this. But who knows...

That is what I have seen also. Additionally, I have not seen any other Department RID in the 308xx range other than Twinsburg Pd. Twinsburg Fd appears to be using 309xx. I have logged on the Twinsburg TG 33966 RIDs 38000, 38001, 38002 which I assume is Dispatch.

Any idea what RID Reminderville uses?

Here's a new twist. There's a new site on the P25 system (1-10). This new site has the following control channels:
857.2625 (alt)
857.6626 (pri)
858.5125 (alt)
858.7125 (alt)

I cleared Unitrunkers info on the old system and checked it. Its control channels are:
855.2625 (alt)
857.9625 (pri)
858.5125 (alt)
858.7125 (alt)

Note the last two frequencies are on both sites. I'm going to monitor the new site for a bit to see what else shows up. Perhaps Mr. Szabo can share some insight on this new site.

I saw that too.... I had loaded all the voice frequencies from the the existing 800 system as the new P25 Summit Akron system, figuring one would be be new control channel. I occasionally check with analyze feature on HP 1 .. Nothing pops up but control channel.

Are you getting any actual data off the 857.9625? I can hear it but it doesn't sound like other control channels (as in I wonder if its just a carrier with no actual data being streamed?)

I put Unitrunker on it on a dedicated PSR600 and I've got 5 bars of signal strength but I'm not decoding a thing off of it. I am nearest to the Twinsburg tower but probably can hear anything off Richfield well due to my elevation.

The primary control channel seems to be very weak today , if this is indeed the new P25 system control channel.

I'm hearing 3 different control channels if I load the original P25 system + the new four. There is data coming off two but not this new one. Its clearly a solid carrier signal but seems to have no information. Do we think its simulcasting or coming off a single tower?
