Hello all. I'm new to the site. Have owned a number of scanners. Currently have RS Pro-528 and Pro-95. Used Pro-95 for the longest time to trunk Tippecanoe county, worked great until they rebanded the system. I got discouraged and put the scanners in the closet. Anyway, I am looking to buy a new scanner that will trunk the rebanded system and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. (I may be wrong, but I don't think the Pro-95 can be updated to work with the rebanded system). Any help would be great!! I was looking at the Pro 107 or Pro 164 but was not sure if they would be ready to go out of the box or if I would have to update...

Either will work on the system.

Both will need to be updated to the latest firmware revisions.

For programming, I recommend using WIN500 software for the PRO107 and WIN97 for the PRO164.

PM me and I can get you sample files to make it easier...

Ok thanks! I will get back to you when I make my decision and purchase a new scanner. (Probably within a couple weeks) I have glanced at the WIN software but any help I can get, I'll take. Thanks again.

The Pro 197 was $100 off on black Friday. I picked up mine then. Keep looking for some sales. It took me a couple of days to get the settings just right to get it to work, so be sure to ask if you need help...the fine folks here were able to help me out and get me up and rolling after a frustrating two days.
