Gentle reminder that we do not add unidentified encrypted talkgroups to the database. Please consider using the wiki to catalog unidentified talkgroups (do not submit info meant for the wiki to the database pages; any member can edit the wiki themselves).

Thank you, I knew that, was just letting users know that this system is starting testing and was showing what I’ve heard so far. I won’t be posting anymore here… I’m familiar with the Wiki, did a lot on Ocean County years ago…

Thanks for the reminder. Understood. Maybe the Chief can get a look at a radio layout.

My post was absolutely not directed at you, Steve. Hope you didn't take offense in thinking that it was. Just a general reminder to the entire group to refrain from submitting unidentified info that is being discussed in the forums. Thanks.

I’m 77 years old, it’s hard to offend me, lol… it’s been a while, but I’ve got back into listening to scanners. I was co-author of the Win500 Guide with a friend from Utah, Vietnam Nam buddy… I’m not even sure if the Utah Wiki is still on the Web… the Ocean County Wiki doesn’t look like it changed much since I worked on it… thanks for your work here…

After checking a little, now I believe it might have been the fire training center, sounded like an exercise on getting people out of a building. I haven’t heard anything since on the new system. Some of the radios sounded like crap others were crystal clear.

Might be a training TG,try to take note of the radio IDs when they are active. I’ve seen a bunch of new TR fire radios pop up on the county system this past week.

They are in the process of getting new APX radios installed in all apparatus, all portable radios are APX NEXT with air cards. The system won't be going live until the end of the year or early next year and everything will be E except a few fireground channels. I don't know if they are simplex or on the system as of yet. Members either have or will be getting Unication G5 pagers.
It totally sucks, but that's what the Fire Commissioners want.
