Summary of what's new for release 25. Red text items specific to this hotfix release.

* General

Setting display options fade to zero causes crash - fixed.
Deleting patched talkgroup cause memory leak and/or crash - fixed.
Clearing patch list caused memory leak and/or crash - fixed.

Missing graphics for readme file.
Peers tab - LCN not updated at first opportunity.
Persistent UI geometry - window placement information is stored for some windows. The next time the window is displayed - it will appear in its former location (to be further improved).
The "Running" drop-down box is now display only. Use the Start arrow or Stop box on the toolbar.
Start / stop race condition that could cause crash - fixed. This is a major change affecting all receiver models.
Replace critical sections with lock free mechanisms for better concurrency and speed.
Voice following - clearing the Listen option but voice receiver continued to get voice calls - fixed.
Restore volume and squelch for headless radios like Icom PCR series - fixed.
Removed volume control of Uniden DMA models - avoid fighting with user's manual volume setting - fixed.
Voice following of patched talkgroups - supergroup inherits listening properties of the subordinate groups.

* Detection

For discriminator signal receivers, the program will display the type of signal in the Protocol field. In addition to detecting 2 slot OpenSky and ProVoice, the program also detects DMR and NXDN. To be clear, these formats are *detected*, not decoded. If you find a control channel but can't figure out what it is, this feature may help.

* P25

P25 VHF decoding from discriminator audio - much improved.
P25 VHF decoding from inline receivers - bug fixes.
P25 TDMA bandplan fixes.
Inhibit radio events displayed.
Decoding health formula revised. Some VHF systems only produce 27 to 35 TSBKs per second. Compare to 40 TSBKs for 770/851 Mhz systems.
Faster error correction calculation.

* Motorola

Better bandplan selection for some smart zone systems.
935 Mhz bandplan had incorrect channel spacing value (work-around was to use the 935 Mhz plan in the Band Plan Wizard) - fixed.

* EDACS

Unit IDS erroneously formatted as AFS when Fleet display mode enabled - fixed.
Leading zero missing in AFS fleet digit - fixed.

* RR DB Download

Did you check "Remember Me" to save your RR DB password? The password is now stored in a separate file using the Microsoft crypto API (no more clear text passwords).

Download Release 1.0.25.12.

I was on an older version and had identified about 40% of 1536 users. I updated a few days ago and lost all of that data. I had re-done it all earlier this morning with a slightly different identification style and additional new groups. I had some updates to Windows 7 so I installed and rebooted and now all of my data that I inputted over the last 12 hours is gone and magically my data from before the update has appeared. Luckily before I did the updates I exported my new data style into XML but when I try to import the data I get to the file location, hit open and the program crashes.

I stopped using this application because updates were ALWAYS unpredictable; I lost countless data and just gave up. I tested this version against the previous version on Win XP and Win 7 and both ties the data set was deleted. A very poorly written application with numerous bugs in the code!

An update won't delete your data. When you run the new version, it will in most cases find and use your existing data.

If you've moved the data or were using a custom shortcut to run the program, you'll need to point the program to the correct location.

If the program is frustrating you, take a break. If and when you're ready with questions, I'll be here to answer.

cinsu - if you're willing to send me your data file I can test it here to see what is causing a crash.
