V1.30 G2-G5 Firmware Released

I'm experiencing the delayed audio issue after upgrading my G4 to 1.3. Not plugged into any base and bluetooth is off. I'm also not able to write programming to the unit. I can read it but not write the data back, I get a failed error message. I've updated the PPS, using the stock USB cable, and have even tried different PC's.

Did you have the pager connected to PC when you updated the PPS? Cannot have pager connected to PC when updating PPS otherwise it will not install the driver.

This is for Unication..... when using the drop in charger with bluetooth connected it will disconect the bluetooth even though it shows connected sound comes out of the pagers speaker.

Same 1 second delay of audio compared to my Homepatrol1. On talk group hold the audio is LIVE. Turn off hold and the audio is delayed a second or more.

I did not have it connected. It was a clean install with no previous version and I remember watching it install the driver.

Love the hold and block features on the new firmware.

I noticed that since upgrading I'm hearing background clicking on my Mpow bluetooth earbuds. It's not present on all transmissions but does exist on at least 50%.

Happens....1.3 was a breeze. I now have a 1.3 and a 1.4. With all that is going on I am surprised this got done. Thanks uni.com.tw..outstanding!

Folks...this firmware update is a huge WIN!!! I have NEVER had any success with bluetooth speaker pairing with regular bluetooth speakers from several makers until this release...they now PAIR and sound great! I needed something louder than the internal speaker and didn't want to purchase the amplified base due to the cost so I now am able to use my previous investment in some bluetooth speakers I already own. I am using an Akai Bluetooth Speaker.

Not sure if I did anything wrong but after the upgrade I no longer have Bluetooth audio. I have delete the BT device and removed the battery on the pager. Install the battery search and find the BT receiver the pager connects, the BT reciever shows connected but no audio.

Did you see where Unication said that on purpose and won't change? They have to verify the speaker is on before sending sound. Do a search to find the post. I think they said bluetooth will have the same delay.

So, I upgraded to 1.3 last evening without incident. Got my first opportunity to use the Nuisance Delete to block a little used TG with an open mic. Boy, what a great feature!

Uncheck the box in D 8, BT Headset Settings, in the General Settings of PPS.

Open the PPS go to tab D8 scroll down to BT headset setting remove the check mark from the box click save and load to pager.

i updated my G2 with firmware to 1.30 today. Now when it lands on a P25 conventional channel it beeps when set to scan. any ideas how to remove the beep? i have tried several options that Jason helped me with but it still beeps.

If I'm waiting for the scan firmware can I do this in the mean time and still upgrade to scanning? When will it be ready or can I get the 1.4 beta?

Upgraded to 1.3 and the new programming software. Still no Bluetooth. Go figure.

I have upgraded my G5 to 1.4 and can now connect to my 2020;Honda blue tooth where before I could connect with 1.3 but no sound through the car speaker system.

Make sure to connect via the phone option not audio or media stream.

I upgraded both of my G5 radios with no issues. My apple air pods pro's work beautiful now. I tried to connect my bluetooth to my tesla car and it connects and shows connected but I am not getting any audio.

I will keep trying. Overall else the radio is flawless. Still having a few issues with my amplified charger. This is my second replacement and now the volume control knob on the charger is not working. I do have some issues where my radio is not picking up some trunking systems when the feedline is connected to the charger directly. Now if I plug the feedline directly into the radio antenna port it works nicely. O well. I guess there are some issues with these chargers.

I guess Unication sent out this mini firmware upgrade to see how users upgrade experience is going. Sounds like everything is going smooth.

Probably get the V 1.4 hopefully tweaked perfectly and sent out before Christmas hopefully. Still want the Multi Site Trunking feature.

Maybe Unication can add to this firmware upgrade to allow these radios to change zones or settings when the radio is locked onto a transmission. This is a known issue that people have mentioned. In order for me sometimes to change zones I have to take the antenna off so the radio stops receiving. Awesome work around.

1. In PPS, open Tab D-5, and create a Group Alias called "Wildcard" (or whatever you want to name it) and use a P25 Trunking ID of "65535" (without the quotes).

You can do this without needing a "wildcard" TG by using the 'Trunking TG-Monitor' mode. Then you can have up to 63 labeled TGs in your list while still monitoring any and all other TGs in the system.

If you're not using a drop-in charger or bluetooth, you can disable Voice Buffering to not have the delay. That's a per-knob setting.
