Sorry if it has already been posted and I missed it, but does anyone have the band plan for the P25 system?

Here in holly hill/Daytona site, Unitrunker reports the following bandplan:

Base Lo Hi Spacing Slots
851.1 00-0000 00-4095 12.500 1
851.1 08-0000 08-4095 12.500 2

It looks like voice channel 853.1125 MHz (holly hill/daytona site) is "interfering" with Flagler's P25 voice channel..
Looking at my SDR# waterfall, I'm picking up both simultaneously indoor with a telescopic antenna that came with the dongle.

Also, both 853.1125 MHz & 852.0875 MHz transmit a 1 second long analog dead carrier roughly every 30 minutes..
(Volusia's EDACS also does this on some of the voice CHs I recall). Maybe someone could chime in on why?

Volusia is out of my usual range but when I'm heading north I can get in range. To confirm, they are not encrypting LE comms as of this time, is that correct? I'll set them up in my radio if so.

I have configuration sheets for Volusia County Harris XL-185M and XL-200M radios and they do have encryption features, so if they've got encryption capability and not USING encryption at this time, we should count ourselves fortunate.

1) there is substantial encryption on the edacs system already, so it's already a thing. this has continually happened, including as recently as within 30 days.

2) the new radios do have encryption features as you know (des and/or aes)

3) I would expect all the cid, swat, narcotics, etc stuff to be encrypted

4) afaik there will not be encryption on any of the law enforcement dispatch talkgroups, but that could of course change literally at any time

edit 5) the new system is kind of come and go but I have not seen encryption on any of the dispatch talkgroups, at least what's being simulcast on the HH site

Simulcast About half of the sites are assigned to the East system and the other half to the West. Each one is supposed to provide county wide coverage with it being a little better on the side that's in the name. Most talkgroups are carried on both the East and the West system, so the radio users just select one or the other, and move to the other in the event of coverage issues or system downtime.

On vacation this week in new Smyrna beach, and haven’t heard the first radio traffic on the edacs system for fire ems. Have they fully migrated over to the p25 system? How is new Smyrna beach fire and pd dispatched out?

If you’re like me and listening for new Smyrna beach fire to get a call, the radio reference database is out of date. New Smyrna beach and other areas are now dispatched out by volusia county on e fire or fire 1 on portables, mobiles. No longer use their own zone .

the accuracy and content of the RR dB relies solely on input from users. if something is not correct and needs to be updated, please submit changes!

I do recal an update to the EDACS database saying that E fire is now the main dispatch channel. Oh wait....

They wont exclusively say, "Dispatching New Smyrna Beach fire" or whatever, you have to listen to the fire or EMS units being dispached in that area. Same goes for the LE side on LE7. Most of the unit identifyer info is in the volusia wiki.

Since you know everything about volusia, you can be the one to update the database if you think it is wrong.

for the unknown/HH P25 site, are LE traffic patched in over from the analog edacs system?

LE (TG 104) sounds like underwater and there's a lot of noise mixed in. I can even hear squelch tail noise at the end of transmission. Field units definitely don't sound like how typical P25 voice, except the dispatcher/central.

Fire TG 301 does sound like P25.

Yes, I believe the traffic from LE4 is patched over from EDACS. Ive been noticing the same thing. I think both systems are connected.
