Once the dust clears on the Raleigh Wake Co switch will those of us with the Uniden BCD396xt be able to reprogram w/ the new CC & TG's?

New TGs will be submitted to the database soon, however I don't want to keep submitting one or two TGs at a time, I'd rather turn in a list. To data we have ID.

Unfortunately, I'm having issues with simulcast on my scanners, something I didn't have on the old system. Hoping it will clear up as adjustments are made. As I'm sure many are interested in what I've heard (figured out today) I'm attaching a list of TGs I believe have been identified as of 8pm on the 27th. One note, based on the TG number and RID/UID range I'm seeing it is very possible Fuquay Varina has gone encrypted on TG 47144, I do not know this for sure, just a strong suspicion.

If you are able to ID anything you are hearing (not on my list) please post it here for all to see/check out/confirm.

There is also PS TAC 40-59. These are used for Fire/EMS responses within Cary, Apex and Morrisville, with TAC 59 being the always open channel and monitored by Cary Comms for EMS -> CAM communications.

There are some holes in what I've been able to hear vs the listings for the radio banks:

PS TAC 40 - 46534
PS TAC 41 - 46535
PS TAC 42 - 46536
PS TAC 43 - 46537
PS TAC 44 - 46545
PS TAC 45 - 46546
PS TAC 46 - 46547
PS TAC 47 - 46548
PS TAC 48 - 46549
PS TAC 49 - 46517
PS TAC 50 - 46518
(I haven't heard 51-58 yet, logically they are on 46519 - 46526 though)
PS TAC 59 - 46527

There is also a second EMS dispatch talkgroup that is used when someone hits the panic button on their radios. I have it as 46844, but I may be wrong on that.

The talkgroups and PS TAC channels you listed are indeed the CAM system, they are not on the Wake system. Same core but two different sites on the core and totally different frequencies.

That makes sense, I wasn't paying attention to the color coding in the bank map. I'll have to do some poking around as CAM did some reconfiguring of their TGs as well.

I think the Wake County system is officially dead. Tried getting the control channel with SDRs and scanner with no luck. I noticed the FV IR site had duplicate frequencies to the control channels for Cary/Wake P25 (and Unitrunker pulls up Cary Wake when I type in control channel). Seems like there is less police traffic. Oh well. There is still plenty to listen to in Raleigh-Durham.

All submissions and updates have been worked up to this point. I welcome any feedback on organization or errors that got mixed in along the way. Clarification on what TGs that may be limited to a specific zone would be helpful too so that I can notate the talkgroup categories. In other words if you see TGs rejected from one site or the other or notice certain TGs only ever showing up on a particular zone, or TGs that may be allowed across both zones.

If someone can confirm there is no longer an analog control channel for the 6038 system I will deprecate the system so it doesn't cause confusion but will still be available on the state deprecated trunked system list for reference.

A Note To All Reading This

Thank you, everyone for your help and input to this new system. I think everyone did an amazing job mapping out the major talkgroups within days of it coming on line. A special thank you to @trumpetman for quickly entering the information into the database. While our Wake County group may not be too vocal on the forums, they certainly jump in and help when they are needed. This goes for everyone who posted or contacted myself and others in DM or email. Great job everyone, but we still have a lot of less active TGs to ID.

Been using my Whistler WS1040 successfully for the morning. Reception seems WAY worse than before the change, though. Having to raise it high in my second-story room, north of Crabtree in Raleigh. Will be testing in the car and roaming soon.

Experiencing the same thing just south of downtown, hoping the techs just need to adjust the repeater setting some.

I was beginning to think, that. I was just going to have to Lockout the system. Until last night. When I changed it(and others) from 'Search', to 'Scan', in ProScan. Now everything is coming through!!! :ROFLMAO:(not laughing; dancing with joy)
