I have a Whistler WS 1065 programmed for all talk groups for my area it seems to be working but it chirps and it's like a loss of receiving connection unsure if I need to buy a better antenna for outdoors or what but for some reason it seems to have a problem receiving p25 digital talk groups have any suggestions? I did manage to order a new outdoor antenna hopefully it will solve my problem D-130J Original Diamond Vertical Discone Antenna - 10m-23cm

You're likely facing simulcast distortion if you're within listening range to two or more towers on the St. Joseph County Simulcast. Feel free to try the Multipath Mitigation for Scanners suggestions but ultimately you'd be better off with a Uniden SDS100 or SDS200 to track simulcast systems without a hitch

This will likely make the simulcast problem worse. The lesser antenna the better when dealing with simulcast cells

There are a couple if things to try in the programming to minimize the effects of simulcast distortion. Please attach your programming file so we can take a look at it. You will need to zip the file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file. I have ARC500, Win500, and PSREdit500 software.
