R30 Why doesn't Icom do this??

If they can make this: Icom F7010T P25 Compliant Portable VHF Radio w/ Full DTMF Keypad
with a trunking option, WHY can't they do trunking in the R30?? Even if they had to do it as an option. Probably just a firmware update. Very frustrating!!

My belief is that Icom pursues a certain philosophy in its line of communications receivers that subordinates trunking to companies like Uniden, while concentrating their main thrust of if there receiver line more along the "general coverage" arena, with a few "bells and whistles" thrown in . Most likely, with Uniden and one or two others saturating the market with various truck-trackers. Icom likely figures that getting into trunk-tracking at this late stage is would not provide sufficient returns on investment.
