Hey all, i`ve been hearing some chatter on a couple of new TG`s lately, they are TG 88 and TG 14010, i believe TG 88 is a statewide one mabey (i`m hearing what appears to be law chatter, possably sheriff or mabey a local PD)? The other one, from what i found on the ID list on the WISCOM WIKI entry, appears to be assigned to Dodge County. Just curious, but can anyone mabey shed some light on this for me? Thanx! N9NRA P.S. I`m finding the whole WISCOM thingy to be VERY intresting, and learning about scanning it has been enlightning, and really fun too :D.

A lot of testing going on in the last 20 minutes or so on talkgroup 94. Sounds like they're testing different brands of portable and mobile radios.

Heard a lot of "EF Johnson Portable test 1.2.3.4.5" and an "Audio clear" return from RID 8130083
Also heard a Kenwood radio being tested.

Talkgroup 29510 has been locked in (not searching for anymore....almost like it has an open mic) all afternoon and right now on the Chippewa Falls tower. Seems to be a rebroadcast of Chippewa SD, Chippewa PD and a highway department (most likely Chippewa?). My BCD996T scans and locks in on that talkgroup and won't scan anything else.

Chippewa SD is very clear....Chippewa PD not so clear - somewhat garbled. Highway Dept was also very clear.

Again....all on same talkgroup of 29510.

Talkgroup 29510 was active again this afternoon....this time on the Osseo tower. It was rebroadcasting Chippewa SD & PD as before however this time it didn't lock onto that talkgroup constantly. It would scan again after communcation was over.

Both seemed clear this time around. Didn't hear highway department but didn't listen very long. Not sure if still active at this moment.

I enjoyed the Radio Techs talking about Bow Hunting and Crazy Ex Wives on the Shell Lake tower today. It was rather unprofessional.

Talkgroup 45010 is now active on the Chilton tower, carrying traffic from Outagamie County Fire channel (154.250) and possibly OUSO 1 (155.700).

TG 45010 is locked up on Chilton tower, and is carrying traffic from 4 conventional channels:

Outagamie Sheriff 1 (155.700)
Outagamie Fire Brown (154.250)
Winnebago Sheriff 1 (158.730)
Winnebago Fire Red (158.775)

Thanks for the heads-up, joedadda2001. I will give it a listen and see how it goes.

Your welcome, I try to look at the up coming agendas to see if there are demonstrations. Its says a WISCOM presentation so I am not sure if they will use any radios or not? Does anyone know if the State Patrol, DNR or DOJ will migrate to WISCOM?

This thread has gone a bit quiet...

I'll be driving across the state one of these days, is there much traffic on WISCOM these days? I don't live in state so there's no easy way for me to gauge traffic.

Noticed that they are simulcasting Marathon County Sheriff and Fire/EMS on TGID 37010 off the Rib Mountain site.

Yesterday I heard talkgroup 8402 talking on the Chippewa Falls and Osseo towers. Male and female talking about the snow and slippery roads. The female said she had left the plant...was headed out on 42. Also mentioned something about Manitowoc. Male talked about the snow and said he was headed over to "job place."

Not sure what agency this was......

Just popped that one into my `396T, and it is MCSO and fire/EMS on the Rib Mtn tower, sounds like what i hear on the MN ARMER system when they`re simulcasting DPD channel 1, i call it " digitized analog". However it does sound really clear, now i`m wondering if this is what Marathon County will do as far as going digital, sack their present system and just move all day-to-day comms to WISCOM and call it good. Any thoughts :)?

I am hearing simulcasting today on WisCom Waukesha on TGID 37010 for fire, police, and sheriff.

Maybe this is Kenosha County? Anyone?

If I was hearing Wausau on WisCom Waukesha, that is about 200 miles from my location.

I was asking because it didn't sound like any thing local around here. I kept hearing Avenue street locations. So I was thing Kenosha, but I know that couldn't be right.
