Hello all.

I just obtained an XTL 2500, 700/800Mhz radio. I am familiar with basic programming, and I have all the software and stuffs...

My question is how to program AWIN channels into this radio... as that is new territory for me. Preferably, Saline Co's AWIN tower and ASP Troop A.

Can anybody give me some insight? TIA!

What department/agency are you with?
I work with a local broadcasting group/radio station.

To be clear, this is solely needed to be a scanner... nothing crazy... if thats even possible.

Give it to a boy or girl so they can play Fire or Police. Leave it on for a while so the battery dies.

I'm far from an expert on the system so I'd need some additional info.
Motorola officially ceased selling upgrades for all AN revision APX subscribers (minus the 8000/8500 and N series). Last day to order was December 31, 2024 so if you have an AN revision APX that doesn't have Phase 2...time to buy a new radio because you can't legitimately obtain the feature upgrade from Motorola anymore.

~80% of my APX subscribers across three counties are affected by this and to be fair, I'm not upset at Motorola for ending support like that but it's a struggle as some features were supposed to have been optioned and never were and nobody thought to double check that they were.

My guess would be something like VIPER here in NC where APX users are being required to not only have the feature active in the radios but to also have the trunking tables populated with needed info for TDMA.
