Ok, I know where that tower is on Batesville Pike. ... Its WAY up in the air on a ridge out there. The Roosevelt one is the old ASP headquarters, and Shinall Mountain is line of site due west of me. That would cover anything I would ever need to listen to.

So Im guessing a unit on a portable out by Batesville pike talks, and it goes out on all three sites? So just one more dumb question. If Shinall Mt is part of the simulcast, why are there a couple frequencies listed for the Shinall Mt site that are not listed on the Simulcast site?

Ok, I added those two frequencies to the LR Simulcast site...that the one you were referring to?

On Shinall Mountain, there are 2 AWIN sites co located. One is the original AWIN stand alone repeater, the other is the newly built Little Rock Metro Simulcast repeater. If I recall, Shinall Mtn, has almost an antenna farm on it.

And yes, on an simulcast system, everything is broadcast on all sites simultaneously. That is what causes so many issues on P25. (Also on some Smartzones that use P25 CAI TG's.

I think LRFD simulcast is off! No analog traffic since 4pm, and I have heard LRFD running hot down Cantrell road this evening with no alarms on the analog side.

No. I'm in a brand new one called Placid Hills. Just finished building this past July. Just about 1/4 of a mile after you turn left at St. Josephs.

Motorola appears to a shut off the analog channels for LRPD as of last night. Is anybody hearing any traffic on the new digital channels because I've been told from a reliable source they are now fully encrypted. If that is so the Little Rock chief lied to the local TV station when he said they would not do that!!

Some of the channels, I'm sure, are encrypted. Narcotics, CID, etc. But, there are 11 digital LRPD channels that are not . 3 dispatch channels, NW PCom, Downtown, etc.

I can confirm they are not encrypting any of the ones you mentioned, nor are they encrypting the special event channels for the LR Marathon, or the car to car direct channels. Have not heard any detective traffic, so that probably is.

While I continue to hear Mems to Hospital traffic on the old system, I no longer pick up Mems dispatch, nor can I find them on Awin. Anyone know where they are?

Can you give me the TGID you are getting them on? I might have typed it in wrong.

33264 for Dispatch 1, and; 33296 for Dispatch 2.

I'm at a high elevation off of Donovan Briley Blvd. in NLR with a high gain antennae. That may be it.

Tried to send you a PM to get this off the AWin thread, since its obviously still on the old system, but it says you are not accepting PM's...so Ill finish by saying I have three scanners, all locked on the Mems dispatch talkgroup, all getting a full signal from 3 separate antennas, and I am not getting squat, yet the ambulances calling to the hospitals on the same system, are coming in 4 by. I will keep testing. Thanks for the help.

Is mems using the 7214, 7215 etc?

I am hearing a dispatch right now on 7215. Looks like they are on AWIN now. Still not getting them on the old system.
