Can't Read/Write from/to SDS100 n' BCD436HP

Who is you ISP?
When you plug up the USB Cable to the Scanner Does the Scanner Beep and display on the screen Y/YES for Mass Storage?
It sounds like you may not have User Rights or Sentinel does not have Rights.

I finally got the BCD436HP back.

At present, my ISP is Spectrum, but. I may be switching to Brightspeed.

It beeps, when I:

1. Turn it on
2. Go into MSM
3. Turn it off

When you reformatted the card, did you reformat as a FAT32 (or FAT32 ext)?

That filesystem type us mandatory.

I have Spectrum as my ISP and have zero issues with Sentinel downloading files. You may want to check your router is allowing FTP/TFTP (port 20 and 21).

Sentinel is 'playing hooky', again. While I can change the target model. I can't do 'Clear User Data', on my SDS100. I re-formatted the SD Card w/o any errors.

I re-formatted the SD Card in Win11, because. SD Card Formatter, that was recommended on a Facebook scanner group. Keeps saying, it is already running, when. It doesn't show up in the System Tray.

I did that in the beginning. But, It doesn't explain, why. Sentinel keeps deciding when to go AWOL. With the new F/W out. For both, the SDS100 n' the BCD436HP. I wanted to update both of them.

In all of your posts, I haven't seen a mention that you tried a different cable. If neither scanner works, a bad cable is a definite possibility. Also, there is probably a write protect switch on the SD card adapter.

End Task in Task Manager or simply restart your PC.

I haven't tried different cables, because. I got the BCD436HP working again, after. Sentinel started behaving again. I would agree with your mention of the Write-Protect switch, IF. I was not able to reformat the SD Card in Win11.

I double-checked my version of .NET Framework. It has been at 3.5, ever since 3.5 was released.

Proscan loads and is recording for my BCD436HP.

Sentinel loads fine. I can even change the 'Target Model' w/o a problem, but. If I try to update the F/W n HPDB, it locks up.

I have been using 3.5 for several years. I went on MS's .NET d/l page. I didn't see 4.8 anywhere. Even among the list of the no longer supported versions. The only supported version, now, is 9.0
