Help. Has anyone successfully programmed a CLMRN site in a PSR600 radio? I have been trying to program Troop H site only and the radio does not receive.
I have done the same on a 396xt and it recieves fine. Troops still Ph1 for now.

I have seen some phase 2 usage on the troop H talk groups Over the last few days, not sure if it’s 100% of the time yet.

It's not.

I monitor them on a 996XT and 396XT (Both Phase 1 scanners.) with a P2 scanner right next to them.

Did anyone catch Statewide Common 3 on CLMRN last night?

30 minutes of recording from 10:41pm to 11:18pm
They were using Hartford sentences to test voice quality. Looping over and over.
Woman's Voice: The curtain rose and the show was on. (71-6) The young prince became heir to the throne. (71-7) He sent the boy on a short errand. (71-8)
Man's voice: Tear a thin sheet from the yellow pad. (64-1). A cruise in warm waters in a sleek yacht is fun. (64-2)

When I first heard it I was very confused until I google'd then words and found out what it was. Quality test for voice.

Same time ton Statewide Common 2 they were doing 5-4-3-2-1 1-2-3-4-5 tests as well. Talk of MCV. They were doing tests from Waterbury on the Mixmaster they stated.

Yes. They're actually "Harvard Sentences"

Also just noted that Troop I Simulcast (Site 29) now shows Sharon (Site 38) as a Neighbor. That happened recently. Can confirm it was not linked as of April, the last old backup copy I had.

What's funny is I can now get a partial signal from Woodbury for Site 38 Sharon. In DSDPlus it's bad where it's uncorrectable errors, but once in a while I'll get a single string or so of dad it recovers from CRC. This used to not be the case. I can also not get Troop B from where I am, which is odd. I think they might have expanded Site 38 or done something to it since it's now reaching Woodbury, and can link with Troop I Simulcast.

It's still only linked to Troop B as far as I can tell, and now I, although I'll retest some other sites later today.

Site 38, previously thought to be Sharon / Sharon Hospital, has definitely had changes. I no longer thing it's Sharon and a 3rd ERV. The frequencies it uses are licensed statewide, and similar to the other inter-op 700mhz frequencies used but just a different control channel for the other ERV's.

I finagled my antennas and I was able to get a good DSDPlus read on it. To get it from my QTH it has to basically be anywhere from NNE to SSE of my location, approx 22 Degrees to 158 Degrees from Woodbury. There's almost no traffic on it too. And Troop I units are trying to Roam to it but being denied which makes me think it's around that area.

It is NO LONGER linked to just Troop B Simulcast and only linked to Troop H Simulcast (Site 28) and Troop I Simulcast (Site 29).

CC for possible "ERV3" is 774.51875 with ACC of 769.73125. NAC 3A9 Site 1.38 "38".

I will continue to monitor and see what happens. If anyone else can see if they can pick this site up we can narrow down it's location.

Makes perfect sense. When I was in Warren late last summer Troop L site still covered Warren. Make sense they would expand B and move the temp site somewhere. Judging by it's direction and area I'm thinking in I territory now, but near the H border. I don't have much traffic but this is what I got so far. No calls what so ever, just denies. Only accept was for some DEEP TG. Naugatuck site was the same when it was first set up as well.

I just ran DSDPlus from Southington as well for Site 38's new location. The signal comes in so strong it's card to track with my directional antenna I use. It's just a hair shy of Troop I Simulcast's transmission, which is VERY strong. My guess is it's South of Southington along the 691 corridor. Cheshire, Prospect, Meriden area somewhere.

Site 38 is not received at all from runway at Oxford Airport. If it was East of that location though, Naugatuck forest hills get in the way. I can't even get the Naugatuck site repeater from there. Just confirm's it's not South or West of Oxford. I was picking up 700 and 800mhz from Long Island.

So this all fits that its Prospect Cheshire Meriden area so far...

Managed to actually get some activity on Site 38, Encrypted TG 2020, which is some encrypted CSP TG that's also TDMA / P25 PII.
It also seems to be accepting Troop L Dispatch Talk Group now.

Nothing new other than finding that CSP Training Car/Car and Dispatch, as well as DEEP West are allowed on this site. Lots of rejections from other TG's, aling with Channel ID's. Several days of monitoring, only these 3 frequencies seem to be in use with/without TDMA based on TG.

The more I think of it, I think this MAY be setup at the CSP Meriden Complex / Central District office. The signal from 3 locations I have tried seems to go with that. I'll try and get a better location fix then submit this as "Meriden" site. (Until they move it again, but given it was in Sharon for 1+ year worth labeling it for now)

Not sure if relevant as this is just anecdotal. Troop H from my office used to be full strength a few months ago... now I notice it drops in and out... what is full strength now from my office (Queen St. Southington) is Troop L Simulcast, full signal strength. Never used to be be like that. FWIW

They're probably reconfiguring the towers to focus on their respective zones.
