The sensible decision would have been to show no inventory until the coupon expired, instead greed and price fixing won the day and shamed the pair of you.

This seems more like an eBay issue. The seller was map compliant from the beginning. Looking forward to more performance reports on other threads...

webtron-x has turned down your offer of US $649.99. Make another offer before the item ends.
What a mess.
I tried the same. He replied that Uniden wouldn't let him accept. So...they wouldn't let him accept their own set MAP, I guess. Interesting.
What he advised to do was purchase at $749 and use the coupon, once the coupon expires I'd imagine he'll change his price back to $649...but I could be wrong.
He will, that is what he told me. That's not the issue at all...

He can't accept it as that would make the price $549 dollars, which apparently Uniden frowned upon.
It's not the sellers fault at all, he advertised it at $649 per the Uniden agreement, eBay chose to implement a coupon that would make it sell for way less than that and apparently someone complained to Uniden about it and he got his hand spanked.
Blame Uniden or eBay, not the seller.
Eeewww, slimy move, Uniden... Seriously.
Lots of eBay Bucks certificates being issued next month, nobody here better talk about using them lest Uniden gets another stick up their butt.
How is it a slimy move? Please the question was answered. At least you changed your signature.Eeewww, slimy move, Uniden... Seriously.

The seller's advertised price was still the MAP of $649.99, though...so the seller was not in violation.
Hello,
I have seen a couple of ways stores get around MAP in their ads for years and years. There was a surplus store that would use "Famous Maker" and explain that they could not name the brand. You might see "prices too low to advertise". Online stores use the "put it in the cart to see the real price" method.
Unfortunately with eBay you do not totally control your storefront. It seems like eBay did not consider possible MAP agreements sellers may have and provide an easy way to exempt an item. This could be due to the platform being designed more for personal and small business sales rather than authorized dealers.
Cashback, eBay Bucks, and other such schemes do not count because they do not affect the seller's advertised price.

The coupon did not affect the sellers advertised price. How about if you sign up for PayPal credit and they give $100 off - does the seller have to raise that price too?
Uniden is totally completely off base on this, just plain wrong.
The $100 was from ebay, not the seller.
