Firecom East and West are for the Travis County ESD fire departments. They're almost always patched, just like Firecom North and South for the Austin FD units.

So I programmed simulcast 7 manual and it’s been cutting in and out sometimes is that normal for this site cause it doesn’t do it on the old pflugerville site

I know you are using a SDS100 based on your previous posts, so I doubt it’s simulcast distortion. So long as you have it programmed as a P25 system, and have the current and alternate control channels programmed in, you shouldn’t have any other issues if you are within quality range of a tower. There could be other problems, like is your delay set to more than zero seconds? Is ID Search set to on? You are scanning the Service Tags you want to hear? I went through Austin last week and could scan Simulcast 7 from Taylor to Kyle with no problems.

I programmed everything manual from the scanner full database and I confirmed it with tower on Travis county page on radio reference if that makes sense it just cuts in and out once and and while not all the time. I have squelch turned down to 1 since I have a better antenna the 820s. I programmed the range location and the frequency just like what I did with the pflugerville site so I can keep the old 2 other sites pflugerville and simulcast 1 in case they become active that’s why I did it manually so I doesn’t delete those sites

Also I just heard a firefighter activating the radio confirmation from battalion 1201 but I didn’t get the alarm on the sds100 is that normal

Does anyone listen to Williamson Simulcast 857.9625? I hear DPS, Regional Law, CIB 8, as well sometimes Interop talkgroups. 851.1375 is too far from me to be listenable..also I love listening to aircraft..location Leander Crystal Falls area..

So I don’t think it’s my sds100 the scanner. on the radio app online on broadcastify it’s cracking up in the same transmission that I get before it hits online if that makes sense on that scanner the person is using to live stream Austin fire department online.

What is interop

interop is used so multiple agencies can talk to each other. When things like SXSW, ACL, etc… are going on, they are used extensively. A lot of great traffic to listen to. George sector uses it a lot at night when patrolling 6th street. Allows them to talk to each other without taking over the main channel.

It ain’t the paint give it up I moved on from that crap you guys need to move on from that it did the same thing before I painted it so it ain’t the paint and the antenna port was covered in masking tape if you wanna say it’s the paint there no paint in the antenna port

None of your guys answer answered my question does you guys lose reception more so having audio crackle in and out on fm 973 and 290 in manor I didn’t do it until this Dairy Queen was being built even with the bc125at it’s doing it and that one is not painted so the paint isn’t the answer I can tell u that I have the remoteonix antenna and my squelch was down to 1 I just turned it up to 2 see if that helps next time I go in that area but yeah

I just went back my d error reach 60 once 100dbm. It sounded just the same before I did the stuff to the sds100. So I can tell u it’s not that. They need to put a antenna or tower in that area cause there building apartments and **** that they don’t need and construction can interfere with the radio signal if I’m not mistaking and buildings to.
