Need to be editing the descriptions for the plethora of channels with descriptions like "Common Use", and other such useless garbage, to something that's actually useful instead......

Yea, what the heck? Man, I was tired of listening to pleadings about "nationwide" stuff for months. I didn't even know what they were carping about. Now I see the word "nationwide" in the scanner. Shoot, this should be a day of total celebration.
I mean, I am pretty easily satisfied. For instance, I immediately fell in love with the chirping/beeping settings (were they there before?). Shows my level of expertise, lol!

What "how to" articles about the features in the new Sentinel and firmware
would you like to see? What articles would help you out?..........................

So, why are Canadian nationwide freqs, in the USA section and vice versa?
Not to mention much of which is duplicated info....
Which in turn begs the question why are multiple copies of the same thing being created and maintained?
Both the same thing, but with a proper description in Canada but not the USA ROFL (neither one with proper channel names though SIGH)
Canada > Rail > AAR Standard Channels
USA > Railroads > Railroad Operations VHF
Hi Marshall,
I haven't got that "light bulb" breakthrough on the subject of "Trunking Discovery" (or maybe anything in the "Discovery Menu". It's early though, lol.
Thanks,
Rob
Lately OCO and myself have taken up the cause of writing up HomePatrol Wiki
articles here at RR.com. (With some awesome assistance from ka3jjz)
I have enough ideas on what I want to write but here is my question:
What "how to" articles about the features in the new Sentinel and firmware
would you like to see? What articles would help you out?
Please let us know so we can do our best to make sure the articles are
relevant to your needs.
Thanks!
Happy Monitoring

I've spent the last few hours reviewing the revised and expanded Help within Sentinel. I think the message was received by Uniden that there were areas needing more coverage - I believe they have delivered. I'd recommend that anyone using Sentinel take a re-look at the Help section. I've already decided that the an article I was working on can be trimmed, with references instead back to the Sentinel Help pages for much of the basic "how to". I think there's still lots of room though for more in depth information to be posted in the wiki..![]()
I was able to try out the LTR analyzer for a bit, and it works pretty well - about the same as the other system type analyzers.
TxWARN is P25 TDMA enabled (not X2 TDMA). Not sure if that's a problem here.Sounds like you need to change the System DB entry to System Type: Project 25 Motorola X2-TDMA.
I'm having a blast with the LTR analyzer. I've already found 2 LTR systems in my area from the FCC listing and the HP-1 is logging the LCN. I hope to have more updates later in the week when the system is more active.
