Anyone catch the activities this morning on TG#65392 which is one of the mutual aid group?

Wide area check-in with participating users and local political types. Sounded like DHS secretary Napolitano was on and given a demo of the system. Representatives from the various agencies praised the system, gave examples of its benefits, and thanked for the continued support and funding.

New TG 37328

I just picked up TG 37328 on ICIS site 003. Not sure what it is, but I just heard a brief conversation of some guys trying to find the VIN on a vehicle. Sounds like some sort of secondary PD channel. Couldn't find it listed in the database or previously mentioned in this thread.

Anyone know what it is?

Another new one - 39712

Just caught another brief conversation on TG 39712 on site 001. Something about testing people individually in a classroom. Anyone know what this TG is?

Glendale Dispatch as been operating on digital TG 33120 since Friday....

I just noticed that they're back to dispatching on analog 1488 tonight. Not sure when/why they switched back. 33120 is listed as Tac 2 in the database. Maybe they were temporarily dispatching on Tac 2 for some reason?

ICIS took another dump.....Verdugo on VF Access for now. I think having the message SITE TRUNKING EMERGENCY come up on a radio would be disconcerting to say the least!

Was in South Pasadena today, and Verdugo frequencies were not working on ICIS on the Glendale or Burbank cells. Heard Verdugo on 154.37 fine, but could not find a talkgroup in search mode that the units were on on ICIS.

Was reading a few recent ICIS board meeting notes, and here are a few bits of news:

Cities of La Verne and Glendora had expressed interest in possibly joining as subscribers under Pomona’s affiliation.
A feasibility study will be under way for Compton as part of the cities goal of reestablishing its own police department. An expansion of Montebello site was being considered to help cover Compton.
New radio site in Upland is expected to be operational in April 2011 and provide coverage for Claremont.

Seems the Beverly Hills system has been down for a bit also. City public works staff seem to be on fallback mode using solely 482.125 in P25 087NAC non-trunked mode.

Not a dump, planned work.

BTW, if the site is in Site Trunking, it displays Site Trunking (or a shortened version of that in order to fit into the display size). Emergency would not be there...

I found the following note from the end of the year.

Narrowbanding/TICP –
A new ICIS System ID was loaded into the Beverly Hills cell of
the system in order to help move the process along for that portion of the ICIS
network and Narrowband programming efforts.
Beverly Hills subscriber units (portables/mobiles) are also pending a
programming effort as Motorola did encounter a network issue and is working on
the problem. Until then the Verdugo System radio shop technicians remain in
code-plug development; once the code-plug has been vetted, it will also be
issued to vendors for agency specific changes. We are also waiting on NB
programming implementation due to grant funding windows and reimbursement
processes not being finalized.

Glad I wasn't loosing my mind then....I saw a new SysID on the Beverly Hills cell over the weekend. I believe it was A108. Thx LAFlyer for the posted info. A lot of neat things in the works for ICIS. It will be interesting to see Pasadena's cell fired up soon as they progress towards P25.
