Steve: If any help, I am more towards the southeastern part of Warren County, about 600'msl. Signal strength is around the s2db. I have turned everything else off in the house to eliminate any possibility of interference. I am also running through an FM trap. No intermod as far as I can tell. A few more spots on the sun now wouldn't hurt. I'll keep you posted. Now can hear very low tone on each freq with what sounds like some sort of tty or other data. Still a very low s2. Sorry I don't have a scope on the radio. More later. This one has got me.

Thanx David.... I'll add your name to the list of those obsessed with mapping this system... I am working with a new map I found, will email it to the list when it is presentable, also modifying the spread sheet to reflect some new info from that map... I think from your location you are receiving all four of the freqs on the towers nearest you... and you have confirmed yet another freq to boot!

Here's the latest offering containing new information submitted thru the week...Highlights include increasing the number of confirmed freqs and a map showing the rough locations of the DMARCS repeaters....[23]

Updated spread sheet attached, not much new but adds a few freq/NAC pairs including one of the "theory" freqs trashman43 suggested adding last month about this time....Still need help putting this thing on paper... especially someone in the West, North and East who can grab NACs and put them with freqs... especially now that unexpected NACs are showing up, N110, for example....either submit info thru the submission engione or send it to me in an email and it will be added to what we have and posted here or in the data base....[9]

New stuff... first a map put out by KYEM in a briefing found on the web by one of our regular sleuths trying to figure out this system... This one has
53 repeaters shown... I added numbers from the earlier list of known repeater locations and extrapolated the "new" sites from expired KYEM licenses or KEWS microwave sites... This should make putting freqs to towers a lot easier... the numbered sites correspond to the list of repeaters attached here, the lettered sites are: MSU (Murray State-Calloway Co.), NB (New Berheim Forest-Bullitt Co.), DR (Doans Ridge-Rockcastle Co.), McK (McKee-Jackson Co.), McC (Mc Causey Ridge-Menifee Co), Sal (Salyersville-Magoffin Co), Sig (Signal Knob-Knott Co)...

The Freq to NAC spread sheet has a number of new freq to location listings... some of these are best guesses based upon the process of elimation, others are probably very accurate given the proximity of the monitor....[2823]

Woodford County is having issues, the PD uses theirs until it stops working, both the city & county fire departments are waiting to see what happens.

Kentucky CAP was doing an exercise yesterday.... using Area 7 and linked with Area 6--most of the communications between aircraft and Kentucky CAP Mission Base were on 139.8125/071.. best I could figure they were looking for a simulated downed aircraft in the vicinity of Cynthiana.... Heard some talk on 143.900 analog (too far away to grab a tone, if any was used) which I have as Air Service-Kentucky Wing in my notes... Updated the FREQ to NAC spread sheet and did a little housekeeping as well... Still need folks in the east and west to help us figure out freqs and NACS and who is using what where.... If you have a scanner that will decode NACS please help use fill in the blanks![1217140]

I have updated the KY Emergency Management/KY National Guard System in the data base.... I filled in all the sites whether we have freqs or not to post (plz get those scanners out and fill in the blanks)... The spread sheets will still be available in this thread because there is info that just won't fit into the data base, but needs to be handy to monitor what is going on.... The Alfa Tags correspond to the sites as noted on the map and DMA Sites list found in Post #66 of this thread...

Thanks for the update, looks like ALOT of work went into it. Hopefully we can get some info from the Western and Eastern part of the state and fill in some of the blanks. :)

Last night I monitored VERY fast morse code on 149.9375
We have this listed as being used on the KYEM/NG page.
It was to fast to even attempt to copy :(
It also contained too many characters for just a callsign

It took a little work to assemble, but most of the work had been done by the Central Kentucky Monitoring Team.... you are correct, we need the info from East and West to finish the page... or at least make it more complete...

But atleast we know it is active with something......

NG Command Post and KYEM Command Post along with support vehicles are headed West on The Western KY Parkway, posssibly for a training exercise at what they called the "Western KY Turnpike"
This would be a good time to log some frequencies and NAC's for the western areas.

Updated info trickling in slowly, a few changes and additions to the new spread sheet.... Still need info from the East and West... Although we have confirmed info from Area 7 a few more monitors in that area sending in data would be nice.... and a reminder.... the best way to monitor this system is WITHOUT NAC programmed.... that way, unless you only want you local Area, you'll hear others on the freq. Here is the updated spread sheet for the KYEM/KYNG system... a few additions and some changes to the way the freqs are listed to reflect the current thoughts about their uses.... moved the unconfirmed freqs in the top portion of the sheet to the bottom section to unclutter that section (please note the "theory" freqs aren't listed here to keep the list mostly confirmed).... Still need monitors in the east and west to confirm info...[1326266]
