Law Enforcement Channel(s) To Listen To In New Jersey?

Hi, I'm Chloe. I am not comfortable with forums, so I hope I am doing this correctly.

I listen to public safety comms from around the world and I really wanted a NJ channel. I use Scanner Radio and Police Scanner. Recently, I have been listening to agencies from On Patrol: Live. Tonight, I am listening to, in New Mexico: Las Cruces/Dona Ana Public Safety / in Indiana: South Bend, Mishawaka, and St Joseph County Police, Fire & EMS.

Do any of you all have a favourite NJ channel, that broadcasts law enforcement comms? I was looking for Paterson, but they are either encrypted or have no volunteer.

Paterson is not encrypted. They are on analog UHF. NJ State Police is always good to listen.

I tried. I don't see frequencies in any of the Scanner Details.

Radio Reference occasionally has frequencies if you Google New Jersey State Police frequencies Radio Reference. This is what I have done for my area's agencies.

I did a general search through 460 Mhz, and then wherever it stopped searched the frequency location from radio the reference website.

It's really not clear what you're asking about here. Are you asking about the New Jersey State Police, or something else? Not sure where you're getting 460 MHz from.

I was confirming the abbreviated letters NJSP, and lastly mentioned the frequency of 460 Mhz for a different agency. Hopefully this clears it up for you.

Paterson is one city in New Jersey. They are on a UHF frequency, you'll be able to hear them if you're close. Feeds like Broadcastify and other scanner apps rely on somebody with a radio near there putting it online. Some agencies do it themselves but rarely police. If you're more than a few miles from Paterson, you're not gonna be able to hear it on a regular channel. If something is put up on a scanner app, you can hear it from anywhere, but that's not automatic for every agency.

Ah yea you won't be able to hear Paterson. If you're interested you can listen to some city police channels:
