I ment pro-106 sorry...
Where you are (assuming you can receive a signal), the Pro106 should work just fine.
I ment pro-106 sorry...
I could use a little help. (again![]()
I am in Gahanna Ohio. When MECC dispatch recently made the move from the old system to the new MARCS-IP system I managed to successfully program the new Site, groups into my scanner (Uniden 396XT) and it was working fine.
Sometime in the last two or three days I have stopped receiving them and for the life of me I cannot figure out why. I didn't make any changes to the scanner.
I've attached what I hope are the relevant screenshots here and on IMGUR @ MECC Fire - Album on Imgur
Summary. MECC on MARCS-IP was working, suddenly stopped. No changes made on my end.
Right now I'm listening to them on au1334's audio feed so I know they're still live.
I genuinely appreciate the help I get here from those far more knowledgeable than myself. I feel like a dope when I can't figure this stuff out. Scanning has gotten very complicated. Of course I'm old enough I remember going to Radio Shack for crystals when I wanted to listen to a new frequency soooo....
Thanks again
Doug
Everything looks to be good in your programming. Just make sure you are using the Columbus MARCS site for Gahanna PD and the Columbus City site for MECC.
Normally 57XXX talkgroups are on the Columbus City site (1-10)
61XXX Talkgroups are on Franklin County sites (1-61, 1-62, 1-63, and 1-64)
Everything else is on the Columbus MARCS site (1-16)
Of course some talkgroups have the ability to roam to other sites like hearing CPD dispatch on the County sites at times.
it's a new month.
anyone switching over to MARCS-IP this Month we should be watching out for?

54859 is in use at the gates for the Van Wert Co. Fair. In contact with each other and the Sheriff's trailer (AKA Fairgrounds Control). Deputies on the fairgrounds are still using VHF VWCO TAC freq.
Here's an interesting twist. I've been getting PD traffic on 49518. RadioIDs are 85xxxxx, which makes it Wayne County. I finally caught an address off 600 N Vine, which is Orville.
Orville shares a frequency with Dalton and Marshallville. Not sure yet if everyone is on this talkgroup. Anyone closer to Wayne county able to give a listen?
I occasionally hear Columbus Fire dispatch calls "respond on 9 Extrication" which is a TG not yet in the DB, if anyone should discover it.
9 Freeway is still in use regularly. They changed some things around with how Freeway runs are handled. Is it maybe a new name for 9 Freeway, or are they still using that too? I noticed a few weeks ago that freeway accidents were getting a regular accident assignment with no extra companies.
CFD TG 57021 sounded like they were testing equip or rescue mayday scenario yesterday...I suppose that could be a extrication training ...the conversation went something like this ...firefighter with breathing apparatus describes situation ...response was we have the mayday ladder will lay a line .
