Here’s a question for the McGuire locals or any in the know. Now that the KC-10s are sadly retired do I need to keep the old VHF tanker freqs in my radio or is everything UHF with the 46s? Thanks.
Corn

You might want to keep them in. There's still the 108th ARW NJ ANG with their KC-135s that use VHF A2A.

I think one of the the last E-8C J-Star went towards Davis Monthan earlier today #02-9111 as callsign ROGUE-66
Maybe that is old Route-66? LOL Seems to have landed at Lackland AFB KSKF around 1920z.
They do have a Airman Heritage Museum down there.. Maybe for this tail.

If I am not mistaken the 108th ARW NJ ANG have turned in their KC-135's in or to other units and are now only flying KC-46's using the 305th aircraft. Their last aircraft went to 101st ARW Maine ANG.

KC46s: CAGE31/32 were up north. AR62(W) ScheduledView attachment 151348View attachment 151347
Thanks for this post. Caught these two on extensive air to air chat on their way North using AR-62 Primary 242.05 from 1452-1520z. They spent the whole time trying to figure out the timing and routing to meet the Bones at the correct time. Sounds like there was a time mix up and they were cutting corners to shave off time within the route. Eventually worked out an ARIP time of 1651z. Their plan was to fly towards the Bones nose to nose, then do a 360 in front of them for timing. CAGE 31 advised 32 that the callsign may have changed. Look out for BOLD, NIFTY, or OZZY.

See Canada Prime Min made trip to San Fran today on the new CFC-1 A330 (C2C363) #33002
Not surprised they chose Airbus even though Air Canada flys lots of Boeing Heavy Pax planes..
Some of the govt elites up their still think they are part of Europe.. The thought of even buying new US Mil planes gives them nightmares.LOL
Anyway a nice upgrade from the old A-310 CFC-1...BTW I flew on American Airlines A-332 a couple of times. It is a nice widebody aircraft.

Understand still one more Bones got left behind today at Fairford due to mechanicals.
I'm sure will try again soon...

Looks like E-6B #163920 (Alert) has replaced old Pax River regular #163918 which I think is getting upgraded down South.

O.T. Large solar storm to hit tomorrow

Yeah some local Ham radio ops commented yesterday that daytime bands like 15 meter (21Mhz) have been wide open at times.
One local Ham here said he got Philippines on 25 watts on 15 meters... These sunspots really seem to help the daytime HF bands.

2113 local I think I have GLARE-39 BE20 talking to unheard aircraft on 123.325 about landing Lakehurst if you can't get the network to work.
GLARE-39 out of Hagerstown into NJ now.
