N15 cleared to resume normal operations, PLB was determined to be from a previous call (?), couldn't make out details.

Guys

A HF listener on the West coast who follows STRATCOM & SKYMASTER exercises posted the following:

Possible heads up.

There is an east coast notice out for Wednesday evening from 8:30 PM Eastern to 8:00 AM Eastern Thursday morning. So far, nothing for the West Coast except the usual 3-hour blocks.

There have been a couple of extended east coast blocks like this one a few times this year and, each time, they didn't amount to anything.

So there may be some unusual activity in our area tonight
Currently at 18:05 EST three E6s and one E3 airborne....could not find partridge in a pear tree however

2 HC-130J's (16-5857 & 16-5858) 130th RQS CA ANG flew across the country non-stop and look to be heading to Bermuda.

Just a stop on their way overseas or part of the Presidental CAP?
More likely on way to Middle East or Africa... Those C-130J's sure have good long flight range. Long hop prob light cargo load. :)

Strong assume Andrews broadcast on 11175 callsign SHALAMAR for 4 Legion Bravo and 4 Legion Charlie.
Next message for WR7VSQ...
Those midwest E-6's all seemed to be doing locals .. Nothing headed for the water. Maybe stay at home base exercise?

2056 EST - Andrews doing a test count on 11175
2100 EST - Shalamar standing by for traffic call 2 times, no reply. Sounds like the same guy but much stronger, and some sort of noise with the transmission. Data ? 11175 Audio

2130 EST - Shalamar standing by for traffic, no reply. I guess they do a call ever 30 minutes on the hour and at half past.

Does anyone know if 6761 kHz is still used for A-A refueling? Additionally, are there any other mil HF networks still in use for clear voice or ALE besides COTHEN and HFGCS?
