RaleighGuy, I appreciate your feedback. I say this because our monitoring could slowly disappear as they move to more secure forms of radio, and the more the actual pilots and units start seeing this on mainstream media, what do you think will happen?

You have voiced your opinion, thanks for your concern, however it does not appear to be a concern for the group, and definitely is not a concern for me, you have your opinion, as others through the years have also had, and I have mine. From my stand point, that is the end of the discussion, if others have comments they are welcome to speak, but we have read what you had to say.

I do agree with Carbine One's opinion, it will eventually play into the ability to listen being taken away. The same concept has happened with the multitude of public safety rebroadcast bringing on more & more encryption.
If you guys think the Russians, Chinese, Iran, and any other enemy of ours isn't already listening to these transmissions even before RR; you must be kidding yourselves with a statement like what you's are saying because of this forum it will be the cause of increased encrypted comms. The LE across this Country like to use broadcastify as an excuse to use encryption; the fact is it DOESN'T matter whether broadcastify was here or not LE would have went to encryption anyway. You think the news media doesn't give away location/pictures of LE ops on the news; yet they keep doing it without any repurcussions. Same way with Hippa; supposedly that's why ems to hospital comms went E; but yet when an ems unit coming here in Berks (and other areas) from other Counties use an interop freq, it's ok that it's in the clear - go figure!

I just want to put this out to the group. Having this on YouTube will not benefit monitoring in the future. Having our little forum here is pretty low-key, but having their transmissions for everyone to hear on YouTube is really going to rock the boat. Does anyone else agree?
Make the privacy link-only. That way only the readers of this forum will see it.

I made another trip to Gravelly Point this morning. It seems the flyover was cancelled. :( Did see the MARINE1 flight come from Andrews, flew over to Anacostia where only M1 flew to the White House. It was a flight of 2 VH-3D and a VH-92A. Also saw CG101 depart from DCA. I wasn't paying attention to the tower so that one was a surprise.

I agree with carbine and think that post was bad idea but for other reasons.Yes I heard them too.
I have no problems with routine recordings of mil traffic being posted though not my bag.
Seems to me was attempt to embarrass the crews posting that stuff. How would you like it if you
were clowning around a bit at work and someone recorded and posted to u tube without your knowledge.
I'm sure you would not appreciate that.
The Squad CO will eventually get wind of this and pilots as well, The notice may go out that someone in Delaware is taping
you guys and publishing it.. The CO will tell pilots to watch your coms and maybe knockoff chit chat. They may laugh it off as well.
Look we all know this goes on and I have heard all kinds of Mil salty talk A/A over the last 25 years but John Q public
may get the wrong impression that our fighter pilots are all clowns not doing their jobs course we know different.
Like I suggested last week keep coms on the business and not the personal pilot com stuff.

Just something to keep an eye on: McConnell has initiated another weather evac, just like last weekend. Their KC-46s look to be heading to Pease again with TURBO callsign, and KC-135s seem to be heading to various places with WYLIE callsign.
It also looks like Vance AFB is doing a weather evac of their T-1A jayhawks and Tex2's.

IMHO
The units and pilots aren't really concerned about the bad guys listening to this game... If people are just playing and it's pointed out that they are being listened to, then we can expect a change of behavior.

Kind of like overhearing your kids at play when young, you don't go and tell them that you can here them, just enjoy the banter while you can.

or
If you know your wife, the boss, or your kids, (great comparison) are in the room, what you say and how you say it may be a little different than a little freestyle playing around with co-workers.

Thanks
Joel

Always miss the handoffs do you have any tips??????
Jay,

Just listen carefully and usually they will ask for the next ATC freq and then repeat it back to the ground controller. In my case, I have all the ATC UHF freqs for a 200mile radius from my location in my scanners. So, when they don't say their next freq, I usually catch them anyway.

They landed at McChord Saturday afternoon. I didn't get any A/A but the tankers were using UHF and VHF with ATC.
Last night had another aircraft return from out your way Matt.. Convoy-3196 #164597 C-130T back to McGuire.
Rare I catch them working VR-64 CP on way in on 273.000. He was using like Navy often does just his last 3 tail numbers
on CP radio callsign "597". Seems according to flightaware was coming back from Guam etc.. long hike..

I missed that, military airplanes often stop at Boeing Field for fuel at the FBO. On Whidbey Base Ops 350.1 they always ask the Convoy flights for the Buno, squadron and home station.
