1716L 2116Z 7501 kHz USB - Q6O with message BQPBKK of 34 characters. First time I've seen this frequency in use.

Coast Guard 6018 (MH-60T) and 2015 (HC-130J) together heading offshore from AIRSTA Elizabeth City.

7501 KHz is probably part of the ongoing SKYMASTER Exercise. The trigraph callsign is indicative of exercise acty. Other freqs have posted:

NATO 75th Anniversary:

277.7 F-22 Demo Team heard loud and clear on the first set, not much in the way of comms on the second time around.
Nothing for the one-ship F/A-18 demo. Could barely hear him calling KNTU Tower due to the buildings.
Three-ship T-6/T-38 x2 out of Sheppard AFB ENJJPT also got no hits.
Frecci Tricolori were super active on 259.45.View attachment 167916
Not part of the show, but an F/A-18F of VFA-32 Fighting Swordsmen passed over 15 minutes after start. Carrying two ELGTRs.

The F-22 demo didn't drop as many flares as I was hoping for, only about 6-7 in total for the show.

Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training three-ship from Sheppard AFB rocking the cool paint jobs.

Lastly, the Frecci Tricolori. Quite an interesting show. I even got a few shots of them with one of the DDGs coming back to Norfolk.View attachment 167921
Good to see my national team and the Rhino and F22 demo team.

Interesting new A/A for pair of Del Army ANG UH-60's Det 1,C Company,126th AVN northbound from Smyrna area A/A 233.850.
Ron list has as Pax River discrete but these guys were nowhere near Pax River.. Plugged it in for future coms.Seems to be old A/A common too.
Pays sometimes to always keep that UHF search function going on at least one of your scanners :)

2121L - 910th AW AC-130H circling over Portsmouth VA at 700 ft. No comms
I don't think the Vaders of Ohio have AC-130 types. Seems regular C130H type but is unusual pattern down there.
Maybe working with low level special ops jumpers out of Langley.

Notice TABOO-32 KC-135 #59-1450 rtb Ohio from Lake Michigan/Chicago area.
They have air CAP today?

Looks like a McConnell KC-46 had pretty severe problems with their refueling boom while refueling F-22s on the west coast. The post doesn’t provide many details, but based on the Raptors on the flight line at Travis AFB, must’ve been during Bamboo Eagle a few weeks ago?

C6018 dropped off a patient at Sentara Norfolk General at 1915 local.

Is there any particular reason the HC-130s follow the helos on missions like these?
