Question about zone 1 have they moved to more directional based or turned the power down ? Forgive me if this has been brought to light already but I use to receive zone 1 here in SE CT (Waterford/new London area) at full bars but since site 161 has come online I no longer receive zone 1. I updated the CC as stated above and no dice even tried a full spectrum scan on my G4 to find new site info and nothing.
Haven't been down to check in a while but I used to listen to zone 1 from East Lyme with a strong signal.

I have been out of the loop for a while, so forgive me... the last time I listened to the LIRR PD they were on VHF. The MTA Police -Long Island operated down the block from me at the old Grumman complex. Should I be able to hear this system with my Uniden Beartracker 885, which has Project 25 Phase II scanning capability?

No, you'd need a Uniden trunktracking scanner. Considering this is a simulcast system, it'd be best suited for an SDS100 or SDS200 which cost a pretty penny just fyi.
