Nassau County EDACS Reband

Nassau County has rebanded their EDACS system.

Shift all their current frequencies down 15MHz and enjoy


I'm currently listening to Talk Group 00-002, which I assume are the radio techs...they sound like they are trying to tweak the system.

I've submitting the reband info into the database, hopefully they don't roll back on Monday

Thanks for the heads up.

Nassau EDACS never has a good solid signal at my location (Queens, 5 miles from Nassau border) so hopefully this will help remove some of the interference.

I have the techs doing range tests on 04-002 - it seems like there is an unusually large amount of data bursts slipping past the scanner before and after transmission - about every 2-3 transmissions.

Yes, I've noticed the same..

They are rolling through the channels right now on 00-003. "Test test channel 10"

I think I am going to add all of these 00-*** TGs to the DB as the Radio Techs.

More tests on 09-081.

I think 09-081 is Old Westbury PD. They are communicating now with Radio Repair on that TG.
